Sounds like it could be a poisoned chalice. I hope that it works out for him, he was one of the good guys when he was with us.

Good appointment. Will help them build for their National League South promotion bid Club is a shambles off the pitch. Previous owner Scott Priestnall was involved in the ownership at the doomed Worcester Warriors with the dodgy former Swindon Town owner Jed McCrory. That ownership sold Yeovil's best player 2 days before season started and this latest ownership have allowed their other best player to leave this month on loan on deadline day. The prospective new owner Matt Uggla has been signing players above the managers head too. Be a miracle if they stay up. It could be worse - They could be Bristol Rovers 😂

Since the Gary Johnson glory days they have certainly been in free fall, doesn’t seem many years ago that me & my lad if Rovers didn’t have a match, we would go down to Yeovil & watch the occasional championship game, always impressed at the time in a fullback they had called Luke Ayling, who’s now go on & played at the top level with Leeds.

Set up as Bluebeard Bristol Rovers Ltd it is now named BLUEBEARD LEISURE LIMITED. Still listed at companies house although McCrory is no longer listed as a current director.

Perhaps it because Kevin Bond being a defensive coach hasnt anybody to actually coach! they are either loanees whose bigger clubs wont let them be coached or defenders are injured or Midfielders! They probably made him redundant! If that was the case, why did Eddie Howe praise our club for the coaching etc that young Elliot Anderson received in his time with us. I believe the Stoke city manager echoed similar comments about Connor Taylor. I wonder of Thomas asking to go back will have any repercussions ? Of course it nice to be complimented but I’d imagine the agents talk with one another. It won’t be long before we find out in any case. It looks like we will be in need of a fair few players. Let’s hope we do not see a repeat of the terrible January window and that people tasked with finding the players have been diligent and have been working on what and who we will need, for next season. Me ? I’m still hoping we get the points needed to be mathematically safe as i take absolutely nothing for granted.

You are right, take nothing for granted although it is looking highly unlikely that we will go down. That said we shouldn't be complacent with balloons inflated ready for a celebratory release like we did for the Mansfield game in 2014.

On the up side there could be some great Somerset derbies in that league next season! Bath City and Taunton Town are likely to stay in that division and Weston-Super-Mare are top of the Southern League and heading for promotion âš½ WSM have loads of potential IMO. Plans to increase the stadium size too. Having moved to the outskirts of WSM, one of my neighbours watches them fairly regularly. I've been with him a couple of times, great little club.

Good luck to them, they have had as many home grounds as Rovers in my lifetime and my brother used to play for them back in the 70's when Rovers ex Dave Stone was their manager.

Still listed at companies house although McCrory is no longer listed as a current director. There was even a Deborah Priestnall linked to that Bluebeard company, presumably related in some way to Scott Priestnall.

Not seen or heard from or of Dave for at least 8 years, is he ok ? Always made time to chat and a thoroughly decent bloke. I lost contact when i fell out with one of the family but i highly doubt he would get involved in such petty stuff.

W-S are having a MARE of late! 5 points in their last 5 games and losing 2-0 to one of the bottom clubs Northleigh last saturday and Chesham away tonight will be tough!! Still Truro City breathing down their Necks with Harvey Greenslade Playing really well for them who have Bracknell Wednesday. its between those 3 who go up automatically.

I think that we have enough credit in the bank from the other loans to balance out the fact that Thomas didn't work out.

Yes its tightened up at the top but they have a buffer still. It happens in all leagues. As Sheff W found out at FGR on the weekend, playing a bottom club doesn't mean its a gimme when there is relegation on the line.
