Expect nothing but a spanking today so obviously dreaming of a stunning 3-2 win! I’d go for.. Belly Hoole Kilgour Thomas Gordon Rossiter Finley Jasper Evans Collins Loft Quite like the look of that team. As long as they score six, we should be ok😂

Blind optimism here for a smash n grab 1 niller, but really I think we’ll play well yet come home empty handed. Probably by way of a harsh red card or soft pen against us, the usual lark.

The score will be what it will be . Joe talked about getting the ball in their half quickly so a top heavy line up i suspect. Loft. Jasper Collins Evans Finley Rossiter McCormick Gordon Kilgour Hoole Jaakkola You really think Belly will be dropped or is that just what you would do? I don’t think Thomas will be left out either.

Jasper off the bench to finish the game off for us 😁

His form hasnt been brilliant lately and if Joe is dropping the pass it from the back today. Then Jaakkola may get the nod . We cant afford crazy antics like a keeper being robbed of the ball near the corner flag so maybe a more stay at home keeper might suit today better ? Horses for courses an all that .

Even at full strength, I wouldn't fancy our chances down there.
Given our form, injuries, and remembering how they destroyed us twice in 20 minutes on their ground last season, I can't see anything other than another heavy defeat.
Hope I'm wrong, but last week's woeful performance drained what little confidence I had left.

My apologies if this is a bit early, but thought I will have a go at the match day thread. I'll be 1 of the roughly 1200 gasheads making the the short trip down the M5 and I'm quietly optimistic about this game. Head to head Games won: 31 Games drawn: 32 Games lost: 31 I'm predicting a spicy affair after Bartons comments in the pre match presser, which I feel is just him creating mind games. I also feel this is a game Barton really doesn't want to lose and will have the lads fired up! I expect 1 or 2 suprise inclusions in the starting line up. They've had some good results, but also some questionable results so they are beatable. I'm going 3-2 to the gas! It's good, nice try, o p....but no way as good as o p as the other place! For me: This place..0 Other place 1 Goalscorer: Bas.

Sam Frost's team selection:
Rovers (4-2-3-1-): Belshaw; Hoole, Thomas, Kilgour, Gordon; Coutts (c), Finley; Anderson, Evans, Collins; Loft
No idea why anybody would select Coutts after last week's performance.

Totally agree that there is no way Coutts should start today after last week .... this is not the game to aimlessly give the ball away, fall to the floor and appeal for a foul - Rossiter in for me now. I'm not sure Gordon is strong enough for this either but he will probably start - Hopefully he plays people in their strongest positions and if he wants them to attack they have the ability to do so. Where is our other centre back Gibson who played a game and got injured in training - surely he should be back now or best send him back to his parent club? I am going to watch after all week telling myself to take the day off and strangely feel ok at the moment - i expected wins against tripe at home and it didn't happen so maybe today is the day they surprise me - All is ask is they battle hard and do us proud. Maybe its another Port Vale away like last season ....Second goal will be huge !!

After the Oxford game everyone was saying how excellent Anderson was. Since Rhino got the whack with severe bone bruising he has been forced to play when not 1OO% or even close and has not been utlised in his best position. I think the formation needs a rethink as Gordon and Clarke on one side and McCormack and Anderson are getting in eachothers space. I would go 4-4-1-1 and rest Flash. We need midfielders to follow their runners, so it would be Finley and Rossiter for me. Belly Hoole Kilgour Thomas Clarke Anderson Rossiter Finley Evans (or Macca) Collins Loft 3-1 home win though.

He’s struggled a little bit in recent weeks but he’s never a left sided centre half in a three. He’s also very young and in his first season of senior football so let’s give him time. I’ve seen enough to think we’ve potentially got a really good leftback there. JB gave an injury update to the Post. I think he said Gibbons and Gibson are a week or two away. Connolly needs to see the Orthopaedic Surgeon Monday or Tuesday when he’ll hopefully get the all clear to return to full training.
