If we approach these two games with the mindset that we are playing two big clubs at big grounds, then we will find it hard to bring anything home BUT if we realise that though they are clubs with an illustrious history, their present squads are in the same league as us because that is there current level and we are more than capable of competing with them and bringing home some points.

Before yesterday's game Plymouth had won 8 and drawn 2 of their last 10 games, Sheff Weds had won 6 drawn 2 and lost 2. Derby's form is only mid table So on current form Plymouth were far the better side, whilst playing Sheff Weds & Derby away is never going to be an easy task, I feel a win at Pride Park is achievable given Port Vale managed it recently. Thing is is very typical of us to raise our game at home to top of the league especially in a derby -ish type game like Plymouth Home. But away days in the league v big clubs rarely end well for us. In that respect I see the Plymouth game as the one I thought we’d win or at least a draw where as I expect us to probably lose v Weds and Derbs and would be delighted with a draw. That’s the way I see it , it’s based on my experience supporting the gas over time and gut feeling that’s all. I think we’ll lose v Weds and get a draw at derby. Other than Ipswich the other year I'm pretty sure the last time we beat one of the big ex prem teams away was Southampton back in 2009! Our record away to these sides is truly awful (Its not much better at home either). One point from these two matches would actually be a good return! However, as always (for some unknown reason) I have some confidence that we might be able to pick up a couple of points or even actually win one of the two!

After a great performance and very decent point at Wednesday, there is a lot of confidence and optimism ahead of Derby. 3pts certainly possible for this team. BUT
Still a very hard place to go and they will be desperate for a win to get back on track, plus we have a very short turnaround after a huge effort on Wednesday night. With a couple of injuries, I'd bring in some fresh legs. McCormick has looked good in his 2 recent sub appearances and can do the extra running if needed.
4-3-2-1 Gibbons Thomas Gibson Gordon/Clarke McCormick Finley Rossiter Evans Collins Coburn
or 3-5-2 Hoole Thomas Gibson Gibbons Mcormick Finley Rossiter Clarke Coburn Collins
