Didn’t fancy the minutes silence then guys n girls? Oh the embarrassment😭😭😂😂 Not sure if the ref messed up. The crowd were silent for a minute during the flag lowering and last post. He then blew his whistle too late.

Still feel sick as a dog at yesterday's result and the manner of it. Feels worse than a defeat. Can't bring myself to watch the goals back.

And now for something completely different! Old boys' reunion yesterday at Oxford, D.C, Ellis, Billy boy and the other one! very disrespectful of Billy and the other one to kick D.C in the teeth like that, rescued Billy's career and made the other ones and that's all the thanks he gets! shocking! Yes I noticed that as well halifax. BBs goals were very good ones. MTs more or less tap ins, but they all count. I guess there’s little gratitude in football halifax! 😉 UTG!

I may be being hyper critical here and we have been so good at game management under Barton, however at the time I was fuming with Marquis for giving the ball away so cheaply on the edge of the box just before they broke to then be brought down. I know still a bit of defending to do before they scored the equaliser but just thought for a man of Marquis experience he could have done better. Any way lots to be positive about as we dominated that second half when we decided to show up and fleetwood aren’t a patch on us when we are firing on all cylinders

Just got back..
Wow incredible few days.
I'm sure this won't sit right with some, but from going from a nice light show on 83 mins, we went to a sh!t show and an art on how to give the game away.
A tale of two halves.
First half, you have to give credit to Fleetwood because they out done the Rovers way by hurrying us, hassling us and not letting us play the way we wanted. Yes, they were game playing too with kicking the ball away etc., but their whole passing and movement was far sharper than us and it felt like we were hardly out the blocks. Nice finish for their first. Rossiter had a nice shot acrobatically saved was as much as we could muster.
Second half obviously the change of taking Gibbons off reaped more reward. Our attack became more potent and tempo higher. They tried to defend high up, which fell into our arms because Scotty had switched sides and was running at them, forcing them back and link with Evans.... also, we had a further threat of C & C up front that they struggled to contain. This gave us initiative and made for a more exciting watch if you're a GasHead. It certainly shut their fans up. Rightly so.
Which brings us on to the elephant in the room and probably the most disgraceful decision making ref this season so far. Inconsistencies. So many times they knew Collins was major threat so fouled him early in build up to halt play, kick ball away. Lost count how many times Coburn was man handled. It appears these weren't worthy of cards , yet one infringement from us was punished immediately. The non award of penalties, I can't honestly say we deserved any of them in second half because of the angle of my view, but we dive far too much for my liking.....which swings me back to my main point:
We were the architects of our own downfall.
We allowed the situation to distract us, by rising (in actual fact, lowering) to the bait of time wasting and arguing with the ref. Unfortunately, a captain should captain the whole team and we should have had stronger mindset and remainef professional by not letting these tactics get to us or be distracted.
So I saw this as 2 points lost.
Some great performances there. Rossiter just threw himself at the cause and made a double block in second half.
Finley was playing some sublime bisection of defence passes.
Gordon was dangerous going forward, but not so sure of his defensive abilities. Nor am I of Gibbons. I just haven't seen anything yet. Maybe he's homesick?
Nice to see Gibson back, for me, him and Connolly I really like.
Coburn looks class.
Collins one goal and one assist has just become an absolute gem to watch....all since Oxford in cup last season around a year ago. Although he and above could have put the game to bed and all the controversy would not be talked about.
Fleetwood horrible fall down gamesmanship baiting the fans team....such a shame they have to resort to that....we have the tools to defeat that quite handsomely and chose a different way. They got what they came for, and we let them off the hook by allowing it.
Oh yeah and some naughtiness in away end (?) capped a much talked about day, even without JAB doing his Russell Osman impression.
What more could possibly go wrong!?

It is frustrating to know Rovers could have accumulated a fair number of points had the several injury-prone players been available. The last two or three seasons have been a nightmare for injuries. It is usually multiple players unavailable most of the time.

We should have been 3 up by then
