Fantastic league 1 player in great form , scoring goals, creating goals, works his socks off. 24 goals since Christmas. Why not picked for Wales ? I’ve just seen two Welsh lads interviewed on Sky Sports news in qatar one was a Swindon player and the other an MK dons player. With the majority of Wales creative attacking players lacking match fitness , Bale , Allen and Ramsey - hardly played this season and their combined minutes , assists and goals combined nowhere near Collins I really think Wales have missed out on one here. From a Gas point of view Im relieved because it means we don’t miss him for a few games but Swindon and MK dons ? Over Collins ?? UTG.

Joey Barton was definitely right earlier in the week when he said the best strikers on the pitch would be Rovers players, what a talent Aaron Collins is , quickly putting his name along side some of the great strikers we’ve had over the years.

Yes he’s been brilliant for us. Looking at Wales forwards they are all either Premier league or championship but I think if you’re good enough it shouldn’t matter what division you’re in and these group games that we find ourselves in will be a bit like scrappy cup tie kind of games. Collins would have been brilliant for them I feel.

If they flop at the WC you can see Collins getting his chance soon.

Just hope we can keep hold of him
My QPR mate sent me a link to their news feed yesterday hinting that they are looking at him
Personally I think he is more than capable of playing at a higher level, let’s hope it’s with us.

Keep up the form and he’ll be a shoe in for a call up in the March Euro qualifiers.

Clubs that have the benefit of playing under VAR regulations should consider Aaron.
He has a specific gliding skill that tempts players to challenge too late.
He could be even more fouled than Jack Grealish.
That would mean plenty of penalties for his team.
Obviously I hope he does not leave.
Then again. £300 million is a load of dosh.

It's not that he's just a goal scorer...he's fantastic goal assister as well!

Having not been involved in the Wales squad recently, I can see why he wasn't taken to the World Cup.
Selfishly, I'm glad he hasn't gone. We would miss him soooooo much!

Yeah I’m Not really surprised I just think that the Wales squad would have a much better attacking threat with him in it. With a Welsh wife , half welsh kid and a Welsh Father in law who’s a top bloke Wales have become my second team so I want them to do well ( but not at Englands expense). Bale has played about 60 minutes this season , Allen has played one game and Ramsey has hardly played and they’re starting their World Cup campaign in two days 🤣🤣 Aaron Collins has been class and stayed fit. Their loss is our gain.

The concern is with no games in the higher divisions managers may pay more attention to whats happening in league one. Assuming there is no contract trigger Rovers need to slap a £20 million price tag on him now. This time the club need to be strong ,AC is a big part of our plans to push up the league (s). Losing him will have a big impact that may take years to rectify .

The days of selling our best strikers for 6 figure sums has to stop if we’re going to be anything other than a league 1/ league 2 yo-yo club. Peterborough have a good system and they’re not really a bigger club than us they’ve just been ran better.

It was always a long shot for this World Cup. But when you see who they have called up as support players then perhaps he is unlucky. All he can do is keep doing what he’s doing. Yesterday the Posh players were blown away by the space he found and his pace and trickery. After every WC there’s a kind of renewal of players and I’m sure he’ll be in future squads if he keeps scoring and playing well. I’ve seen Kiefer Moore loads this season and Collins is a better technical player with better touch and more pace although very different. Obviously not so good in the air. But if KM can get in that squad so can AC. It shows what hard work can do and if AC keeps going he’ll be rewarded.

Assuming the Wales manager wanted a balanced squad, there appears to be 5 forward players... Gareth Bale - former world class player who is on the decline but still very good. Dan James - proven in the prem, scored vs Man Utd last week. Kieffer Moore - better than 1 in 4 this season in the prem. Brennan Johnson - one of the best players in the championship last season So he isn't getting ahead of any of them. Then you have Mark Harris from Cardiff, just a handful of appearances. I don't know anything about him in the Champ, pirate...?

What a performance 2nd half yesterday. Almost won us a game we had no right to still be in the way we set up and played. Other than the silly booking he was a joy to watch. Hope he goes on to really make it. Deserves all the success. 12 goals and 9 assists? 👏

I don't think he even gets the assist for the penalty but he should, what a run. This lads got it all. Quick, close control, great on the turn, ability to run past defenders with the ball, creates countless opportunities for others and can score with either foot. With 2.5 years left on his contract it should take a silly offer to prize him away in January, and I mean £5m+. He is more important to us than JCH was and there is no way I'd swap him for JCH in the unlikely event the option comes up. With 21 goal contributions (12 goals & 9 assists) in 24 games, he's contributed to 55% of our goals scored. We have a reasonable squad but we could well be in a relegation battle right now if we didn't have Collins.

So he could have gone, but didn't. Says a lot about the lad.

Would be interesting to see the first half penalty incident again.
The problem is, he does have a reputation as a diver, so any 50/50s don't go his way.
Also he is not a natural scorer. The headed chance in the first half was a sitter for a top goalscorer.
If any clubs look to sign him, it would be as a Beardsley type no 10, as he has devastating pace, good vision, can pick a pass, is a good crosser and he can score from long range.
If we had Penrice as a forward coach to work on his finishing, like he did for Roberts, who knows where he could end up.
