If we can keep the players we have Coburn, Sinclair etc then I really believe the playoffs are a possibility. The Legaue seems wide open and whereas previously we would lose to teams like P'Boro, I honestly believe we can beat anyone on our day. Our first 11 is quite strong in all areas (fullbacks probably our biggest weakness). We are 4th in the table on form for last 8 games, bearing in mind we have had to play Plymouth, Sheff Weds and Derby and P'Boro that is very good. We are only going up at the moment. We have a great midfield who compete for everything and we have 3 really good CB's. Loft has been brilliant this season but is going to struggle to get back in when he's back!

Some shrewd business in January and you never know
Keeping hold of Collins and Coburn is the key
JB will believe we can make top 6
Personally I’m thinking why not? Some may argue we aren’t ready and the grounds not ready but life’s short and I’d be lying if I didn’t want to see our boys in some of those grounds!!
Whatever happens it’s a joy to watch them at present, long May it continue

Definitely possible. Keep the players mentioned and a bit more luck within injuries and who knows! Really enjoyable watch at the moment. May even be tempted back to Charlton in a couple of weeks. Another place we “never win” until…..

Are Middlesbrough allowed to sell a player when they are out on loan ? If Coburn continues to improve they might get offers in January. Collins might attract offers in January. Sinclair is out of contract in January and if he keeps his form up might get offers higher up the ladder.
There is also the defence . Thomas or Gibson might get recalled or sold.
January could be a nervous time.

It worked well last season and I’m sure JB concentrates on one game at a time. That way momentum builds up and with some of the options we now have can give players a rest if need be. But, win the game, plan for the next, win it or draw and move on. Always harder in the division above but as last year JB is now discovering his best team and formation. UTG!

And wrapping Sam Finley in cotton wool between matches to safeguard him. UTG!

Coutts will be back but wont be full 90 mins fit till February im guessing. Injuries or cards to either Finley or Rossiter leaves us very thin on the ground. McCormick could fill in although he seems to be more competition for Evans in my view.

Absolutely, I think it was Finley who commented on it in his post match. That it suits us down to the ground to be the one sat in behind the pack building momentum, rather than being up there and needing to hold onto it every week. Call it a JB philosophy, one that’s proved fortuitous for us so far!

JB suggested more players will be available in January, unlike previous recent manager's I'm confident if any player does leave JB will get in replacements, assuming JB doesn't get head hunted himself!

We definitely need a LB/LWB and depending on coutts defensive midfield cover. Other than that. Keep what we’ve got (Taylor return on loan means send Kilgour out on loan)

Relax. I think our manager is invested in our club as a project. And our players, unusually, are as well. They can grow as a team whereas if they go somewhere else their momentum would get disrupted.

The play offs are not beyond this team/squad and we always seem to get stronger as the season progresses. Whether or not we make them, this is looking like a good season of consolidation.

If somebody like Preston came in for him doubt he'd careless about the the project, whether they ever would take the risk is another matter.

If we win most of our home games and avoid the odd defeat at the big boys that would be enough, although haven't we already played most of them away, we've only got to go to Bolton, Plymuff and Charlton of the bigger sides.

Yeah, keep it steady and just hold on to what we’ve got, and let Elliot Anderson and Conor Taylor come back 😜hahaha
