How many tellys are there in the club house? What if people in exec boxes decide to stay on? Best to abandon this idea and let everyone watch in the warm. Sat night could go down to even -6 degrees…too could to be outside after 7am.

I'm all for the club trying to increase revenue but with outside temperatures this is just bizarre.
I am not sure of the total capacity of the bars around the stadium but surely the people who want to stay would easily fit inside?
The club could have saved the cost of hiring the big screen by offering a happy hour between 5.30 to 6.30 with £2 off (and still making a profit?). Surely this would have been more logical to entice people to staying after the game in the warm and watch from the bars.
I know many places in town are offering tickets or have reserved spaces so it may not be so easy for fans to find an alternative venue with good views, but a poor view in the warm with a decent atmosphere is surely better than a good view on the freezing terraces?
I hope that the screen is safety out of the way during the game. I remember going to Argyle when they had a brand new screen and one whoosh from Geoff 20man and it was broken in 20 minutes! I hope someone has the bright idea to get it insured and also if the PV game is cancelled.
Also will the overzealous stewards be informed? Generally they usher you out of the Blackthorn 10 minutes after the game.
Maybe The Terrace has a new line in Rovers willy warmers so the club can sell them. If not you're potentially gonna freeze your nads off.

Where are you getting that forecast from, as the BBC Weather & Met office websites are forecasting lows of 0 degrees for Saturday evening?

Let's hope we don't score in the top right of it

If it was a routine night game at the Mem then I doubt fans would be saying it's too cold to stand and watch the game.

But rather than a routine game watching from say 2.30 from 5.00, it is two games with a large break in between. Potentially there could be a safety risk if someone was to literally stay outside from 2.30 till 9 in these temperatures.

I doubt this will happen but i guess it’s also about covering bases. The PV game could well be cancelled given the freeze

When was the last time we had a game postponed by weather conditions? Was it under Tommy W when Swindon decided they didn’t want to play?

At any point the ref wants to. Usually have a late inspection if there is doubt. I remember a Notts county away game being called off just before kick off.
