The loft starting over marquis one I also found strange. I'm sorry but if Barton says he's getting rid of players that arnt going to take us to where we want to be then the first player out the door for me would be loft. There was an occasion last night where he went to control a simple ball and it bounced off his foot like a kids bouncy ball, went 20 yards away and set Exeter through for a chance. Im not exaggerating when I say I've never in 40 Years seen a professional footballer with as poor a first touch as him. Its worse than shocking. Stansfield came on and in the exact same part of the pitch killed a much trickier ball dead and set Exeter on the attack. Showed him exactly what a pro footballer should be able to do. Yeah ive noticed that his touch has always been bad like he has 2 pinball flippers instead of legs. You would have thought this would have improved like other areas of his game with better coaching, but nope. 🤣🤣. Pinball flippers as legs is a brilliant way to describe Ryan loft. I'd imagine that's what a scouting report would say about him.

Just watched the manager review video. Anyone know who JB is referring to when he says "fan favourites"?
Also, great to hear Scott on the record saying he would like to sign an extension.

Could not go last night, paid for streaming, waste of money, terrible quality, stop start pictures and Norman collier commentary, gave up after 25 mins, not because we were shocking but because of streaming!, must have been exciting second half but so angry and disappointed with ending ,put me in a right strop!, don't feel much better now! should be used to such emotions after watching Rovers for 60 odd years! i will get over it after the next win! up the Rovers! ps, complained about streaming and in fairness have received full refund.

I think Joey was harsh on Belly yes he was at fault for the 4 goals but saying he may replace him in the winter window hmmmmm He has to take some responsibility with his tactics he can't blame it all on one player the whole back line were at fault last night. I found it strange why he started Loft over Marquis and why he didn't start Beefy Belly or Belly and Evans. I think he meant both. Evans is also a fans favourite, I think both had a shocker. The issue with Evans is fitting him and Collins in. Evans is never as good deeper. He doesn’t have the quick feet for a central Mid. I think Joey thinks that players who have the fans onside have lost their edge. Perhaps because of it.

I think Anthony Evans has a concentration issue, his decision making looks lazy.He could do with having a chat with Jordan Rossitter, about knowing the pass you're going to make, before you recieve the ball because you're so aware of your surroundings.
Joes comments on James Belshaw and the defence as a whole (not forgetting it's an 11 man thing),was based not only on the Grecians game, but the season so far.I suspect this does'nt bode well for James and a GK will be signed asap, although that might not be until the Summer, depending on availability.
Joe is hard but fair. You reach the required standard at an acceptable rate of consistency, or you leave Rovers.Perfectly clear and the same for all.
I think Gasheads can continue to be excited about this Joe Barton era.
I've never seen such great football at Rovers,a plan to keep onwards on an upwards trajectory and succeed.

Didn’t want to post when I got back, too disappointed and need a day or two to recover!
Whatever, my first game for a month or two and it was a great game and a great advert for League 1 football. I thought it was played with a good spirit, lots of ups and downs and we just missed out which was disappointing. But two days after I think there were lots of pluses… good attacking play and once the changes were made in the second half we were the better team. But the defence which we know can be much better were poor but they are professional players and I expect them to improve after JB has got to them. Great entertainment and even the ref was half decent and I don’t say that too often. My only criticism of him was he should have come down hard on the time wasting at the beginning which would have made it a better match, and some of the throw always and kick aways from both sides should have resulted in a booking or two. But he didn’t and he was at least consistent in that. Well done both teams for the entertainment and the desire to go for goals and attack.
UTG!
