We didn't add the required quality or number of players so it is a missed opportunity to strengthen the squad for the run in. I agree but we have to give those we do have a chance, i do worry that if we lose another one or two then the team confidence will be shot and we will be looking at other teams to lose. Something has to give here and i hope to see us improve, we desperately need a win. Last season is gone and , as much as everyone loved it, this is a different team. We will have to get used to that, each season if this is how we plan to make progress I think some have had more than enough chances and consistently underperform. Trev Clarke at least tried to take players on and was an attacking threat, then he gets shipped off to Ireland. When was the last time Coutts or Evans had a good game? Even Connolly is a shadow of the player he was last season.

If the players weren't available, for whatever reason, how's it a missed opportunity. It's disappointing but that tends to be the case with most transfer windows lately. We might not have identified them, but the players were available, we've seen numerous quality players move to other clubs with seemingly less resources or ones below us in the table. If we couldn't find the required number of players good enough to strengthen this side then there is something seriously wrong somewhere. Whatever the reason, we didn't bring in the 5 players on deadline day that the manager wanted. A missed opportunity to strengthen.

I quite liked his pace, aggression and attacking intent but from my spot on the east terrace he seemed to irritate JB with his lack of positional awareness, decision making and inability to follow instructions. Be interesting to see how his career goes from here on. I thought Barrett had something about him too and that he could bounce back after dropping into non league. I think his problem was lack of professionalism and self discipline because he seemed to have plenty of talent. Seen a few good clips earlier in the season but don’t know whether he is likely to get another chance in the EFL. He’ll realise one day what an opportunity he missed.

I know what you mean, but I think we may have used up a fair wedge of good luck last season. If the footballing gods said we could shake hands on 20th place now for the season, I’d take it.

I see Jevani Brown isnt in Exeters squad after a disciplinary issue. Wonder if he wanted a January move but Exeter said no ? He had a punch up in town and is up in court about it so I was told. @officialecfc forgot to mention his attacked on my sober 20 year old sister unprovoked, while he was drunk & high. Spitting in her face, shouting abuse & punching her in the face to knock her to the ground and punching her in the back of her head repeatedly @jevanibrown scum bag t.co/ySt4TDVcrk— Kayley (@kayleyyasmin) February 3, 2023 fanbanter.co.uk/serious-accusation-made-as-exeter-suspend-top-scorer-jevani-brown-over-disciplinary-matter/

Refreshing to see a club take immediate action and withdraw their player from the squad until "legal proceedings have concluded"
