Rodman still to go and prob Grant too...remember them? Grant is out for the season, (although his contract is up then as well) he actually played well for us last season playing at full back. Watching Grant pre season I thought that he was back to his best, and was looking forward to getting him back into the first team. A real shame he can't stay fit.

Looks as though he may well be heading to Hartlepool what as?imagine him playing in winter at one of the coldest grounds in the country. If he pulls of this one his agent must be a great salesman Yes, surprises me as well. Hartlepool fighting for their life at the bottom of League 2 doesn’t strike me as an ideal place for him. Good luck to him wherever he goes but if he goes there he’ll have to be a different player to the one we’ve seen. UTG!

First match v FGR he simply didn't want to be involved. No effort at all and on the few occasions he had the ball, couldn't wait to pass it sideways or backwards.Him and Riordon worst I ever saw wearing the Quarters. Sercs was 100% better. Was it BG who signed him AND let Sercs go? Yes absolutely criminal to let Sercs go I remember saying it at the time too. Was our best midfielder imo. Signing Westbrooke just compounded it

Bit of an over reaction from a few on here. Westbrooke hasn’t worked out but his signing was a calculated gamble though. He’d shown he’s not a bad player in that season with Coventry prior to joining us….. He’s certainly not one of the worst players in recent years. In a time where maybe we needed a few ‘muck & bullets’ type players, perhaps he was the wrong option? Still, he hasn’t suited us for some reason…. Wish him all the best in his next move….

Yeah he was signed to play garnerball (possession, short passing, rarely forward!) and looked decent for the first part of the season. Didnt have anything else to his game and suffered because of this. Not sure he's gonna find a suitable team in L2 or the National league Understand why some are vocal though, he has taken one of the biggest wages for the past 2 seasons.

Clearly not his fault but id be hesitant to offer a new contract on someone who is seen by the physio more than the fans. Coming from Chelsea id imagine his wages would be pretty decent too Unless he’d be able to prove his fitness I’d agree with you on that. But my point was no one can avoid injuries and he’s had a few and a fit Grant is a very good player and I think he’d fit into a wing back that we perhaps don’t have at the moment. Time will tell. UTG! Agreed he is a good player although when injured, which is the majority of the time, he is as much use as Westbrooke

There weren't many who were unhappy by Oztumer's signing. If you'd have had a poll on here for our dream signing, he'd have been right at the top of the list I reckon.

I was very sceptical about his signing at the time as it was all based on the old Ozthumer and not the current version. It would have been a dream signing when he was in his pomp at Walsall. We were quite a few years too late unfortunately. Letting Sercs go at the time was probably right, he’d been picking up a few injuries and missing a lot of games.

I thought it was pretty clear I was making the point that Sercs, along with Craig, was let go to be replaced with young pros only for BG to then sign Ozt, if he'd offered Sercs and Craig new contracts we might have avoided relegation.

Guess that frees up a rather large salary? The problem is we have probably just paid him his remaining salary for the rest of the season or at least the majority of it. So whilst it frees up a place in the squad I doubt it is saving us much money. It was at that point where he wasn't going to go somewhere else and take a massive pay cut. Now he gets most (or all) of his remaining salary and is free to sign for and earn money from someone else now. That's a pretty good deal for him!

Zain hasn't done to bad out of his time at Rovers, very well paid and did nothing, glad he's gone,

Seeing on social media he might be joining Wrexham, with Hartlepool & Colchester also interested. Probably about his level to revamp his career.

Be surprised if he goes to Wrexham, they are on the up and wouldn't be surprised to see them in league 1 in a couple of years

Nothing to say he can’t get going again with Wrexham if they wanted him and move up the leagues with them.

Speculation on the money aspect as Colchester just paid a fee for Matt Jay, established player and Exeters Captain…
