Thought I'd check a few other of the conference teams forums to see if the Easter deal had been mentioned, my favourite being one comment on Halifax's board saying Easter being a Bristol boy and a Bristol Rovers fan made it easy for us to sign him. Not a lot of opposition fans deal in facts I'm afraid.

But they have raised £710.86 Raised via EasyFundraising to take them back to Barnet. That should be enough. Not sure why they left Underhill in the first place. But surely they cannot expect to move back into a busy area of greater London and expect to find a vacant piece of land going cheap. As you'd expect, there were a number of twists and turns leading to the departure from Underhill, as we know from our own stadium move history. My understanding is that the club's intention was always to stay at Underhill, but that a long term lease with the local cricket club which gave them access was expiring. Fruitless discussions with the council and nervousness from the Football Authorities limited the club's options and the decision was taken to move to the Hive in Edgeware on a lease from Harrow BC.. Ironically, Edgeware Town played some fixture at Underhill last year. I have to say that the Hive is a cracking facility at this/L2 level with plenty of income streams from sports and social facilities, training pitches etc.. I also understand that the medical set up at the Hive is pretty good, but there were / are some doubts as to whether the venue would be allowed to be used for League Football (again a lease issue - but one that I think can be sorted). The Hive lease is relatively short term and the club's supporters (and Chairman) are trying to sort out a suitable site back in Barnet, with underhill being sold for development. There are probably some errors in the above, but I think that's about it.

Hello all, new to forum but long time lurker.
Really excited by this signing and he sounds the business in his interview too. He is a league one striker at the least and signed for little old us in the conference what a coup could be the boost we need to get back where we belong. Seems the board are fully backing us he cant have come cheap good to see.

Riordon was the second highest scorer in Scottish premier history and he didn't score a single goal for us so I'm going to wait and see before I say he's a great signing. Fair play to the board for backing it though. Hopefully he'll get off to a goalscoring start .
