I don’t see how you can judge a goalkeeper after one appearance in front of a diabolical defence 🤔 💙 IIRC Andy Tilson's debut was a 5-1 defeat away to Wolves. He did alright in the end. Yeah all is not lost because of today. Lots to be done between now and Wednesday to make sure the likes of today doesn’t happen again.

Not trying to bash you or anything, as I believe the forum is for all opinions and debate. Excluding our relegation season, as I think him coming in to try and save that squad of players with no transfer window was an impossible task, where do you think he has bs’d and over promise? “Except that time he blatantly bull shitted and over promised, when did he..” Over promising by saying he would keep us up, I suppose he should have come in and said we have no chance. Saying the team wasn’t good enough and previous two managers made a right mess was t bull sh**, he proved that to be true when he got rid of them all and built his own team. Think he promised that he would turn it around and build a team to proud of, seems to be doing a good job of that. Any other example of him bull sh**ting and over promising I would like to hear

What did you expect him to come in and say…
“I’ve got a half fit team built for the national league north and we’re going to get relegated” or try and at least get a tune out of Jack Baldwin and Jonah Ayunga.

I’ve just watched the highlights and all 5 goals were poor defending but also none of them were unstoppable from a keepers POV Wish I hadn’t watched that before bed time I’ll be having nightmares now. I should have watched something easier on the eye like “ Hitlers rise to power “ or Poltergeist.

Have you seen the table??? Morecombe are 10 points behind us, and Accrington are 12 points behind. So not considerably behind us? Two weeks of footy depending on results. Accy 3 games in hand too.

Not bullshit and over promise. Are Morecambe or Accrington's budget larger than ours? Not trying to bash you or anything, as I believe the forum is for all opinions and debate. Excluding our relegation season, as I think him coming in to try and save that squad of players with no transfer window was an impossible task, where do you think he has bs’d and over promise? So excluding a run of results and poor performances that saw us drop from safety to relegated is fair? If he had kept us up would you have given him any credit? Cherry picking a select handful of results is not a fair assessment. During his whole tenure our manager has been bang average. He had a terrible start which led to relegation. The first half of last season was poor. The second half of last season was incredible and this season we have been little more than ok. As a club we are probably a lower League One side which is exactly where Barton has us. That is neither a failure nor a success.

I don't want to add to the gloom but I think one of the reasons our results have dropped off is the opposition have learned how to limit the theat from Coburn - just put a thug on to man mark him. The officials give him no protection.

On the brightside, you'd hope it's going to be a busy couple of days on the transfer front!!

Perhaps yesterday's thrashing was all part of JB's plan to get more transfer funds out of Wael, I can't believe we were so poor yesterday without good reason.
If Wael doesn't back JB this week we could be in for a difficult run into the end of the season with so many home games against the top 10 sides.

Dear me. Dreadful. Will he give up on 3 at the back or blame all the players he brought in for not being good enough.

A first half season with a squad assembled by Garner and Tisdale that was doomed to relegation, and the fact that were fresh back into L1 which is always a bit of a transition (double promotions are exceptional). Joe likes to think he is but he isn’t a miracle worker.

Points on the board are better than games in hand. Also by that assessment we are only 2 weeks of football away from being in the playoffs?

I haven’t stated my thoughts on wether his time here is a success or failure. I am clearly arguing the bullshiting and over promising quote from another poster. To which I am saying is incorrect. We aren’t discussing results or a set of results, only that I don’t think he has bullshitted or over promised

Well that was the "on paper" easiest month of the season. Morecambe Accrington Cambridge Cheltenham
April and May currently have me very concerned how our season will go.

Games in hand aren't guaranteed to become points on the board. We are 6 points off of 6th place, so using your logic for measurement, we're practically nailed on for the play offs! (Just seen that eastgas said the same thing above!)

The only team we have a game in hand over in a position above us is Bolton. So your logic is flawed. I know it was tongue in cheek
