Absolutely. We were superb that night and then only the covid lockdown denied Garner's team going on a run and winning promotion! Tony Craig's 500th league game I think, glad that the lads made it a game to remember. only games under garner the players showed who they thought the boss at the club was. After that Craig was on his way.

A Tale Of Two Epochs
TIME TO START A NEW RECORD
First 17 fixtures between The Gas / The Pirates and The Blues / The Town / The Tractor Boys
Rovers Wins - 11
Draws - 4
Ipswich Wins - 2
Last 20 fixtures between The Gas/Pirates and The Blues/Town/Tractor Boys
Rovers Wins - 2
Draws - 4
Ipswich Wins - 14
It is now time to let those from a rural agricultural heritage learn that their run is over.
Bristol Rovers are destined to win convincingly.
Courtesy of a controversial early penalty, a goal straight from a corner and an unlucky own goal.

Who might score the goals for the boys from Suffolk on Tuesday?
Conor Chaplin with 15 goals and Freddie Ladapo with 14 goals so far this season.
Sounds ominous.
But..........these high riders have only won once in their last seven matches.
Let this become once in eight games.

Strangely enough.
The last time The Super Blues from Suffolk won an AWAY fixture was:
Saturday 19th November 2022.
They beat The Grecians 2 - 0.
Why shouldn't The Gas send them back to East Anglia with this record intact?
With a positive, loud and intimidating crowd we can rattle and unsettle them.

Our average HOME attendance this season is currently 8,855.
Our lowest attendance was back in September when only 8,078 turned up for The Imps sideshow.
Our best crowds of circa 9,700 came against The Robins and The Grecians around the turn of the year.
It looks like the Ipswich match on Tuesday will not result in a particularly large crowd.
Those who stay away may miss one of those special night matches at The Mem.
Whenever doom and gloom is the groupthink philosophy a HOME nightmatch can be an inflexion point.
The Twelfth can have a major impact on the next two matches.
Be there or...............

Tuesday? It'll be a cold night at the Mem, trying to stop my legs, arms, back from shivvering themselves into my seat wondering why after going 2 nil down after 20 minutes I'm not at home, in a lovely warm room, watching Father Brown on the vBox with a cup of Horlicks. Take a blanket to put over your body and legs, will keep you nice and toastie!

Big game for us.
Not sure why we have become so stuck and unable to win a game. Up until the Exeter game, we were looking pretty solid. Defense was leaky, but we were good at going forward, now we are looking great doing either.
Player available hopefully can get their heads up and just give 100%, we need to start battling and being a bit gritty.
Take a draw on Tuesday all day long and against Burton we absolutely must win.

With the poor run we’re on at the moment it’s got the making of a Valentine’s Day massacre but the good thing with football is it got the ability to throw up the unexpected. I remember a few years ago under Garner we had an home game against Sunderland when we were struggling & they were near the top, not many fans gave us a chance & gave the game a miss, but we turned in one of the best performances of the season & beat them 2-0, let’s hope for something similar Tuesday night. Yes, it was the last game before lockdown. Great performance and stopped a downward trend. Tony C last game for us in front of a crowd I think. UTG!

Lost our last 5 games in all competitions, scoring 1 goal
I Don't expect a result for us tomorrow, and I'm totally fine with that. I Just want Rovers to have right good go and not roll over and have our belly tickled.
But I think we lose convincingly tomorrow and Saturday, it's going to feel very uncomfortable.
If someone offered me 3 points now over the next two games I'd take it.

On paper Tues looks like a banker away win but as we all know football isn't played on paper. Personally although we were down to 10 I think the 2nd half at Lincoln was as solid as we've looked for a while. It forced us to goo back to basics two banks of 4 and protection for the full backs. I'd go 4231 or 4411 whichever you prefer Balcome Hoole Quansah Connolly Gibbons Ward Bogarde Sinclair Anderson Collins Coburn
Collins just behind Cobern & allow him a bit of freedom and protection for the back 4. We've not been free scoring in the past few games so can't rely on our forward players winning us games despite conceding as many as we do.
