“JOIN US For the last chance of 3 points for the next 8 weeks because our fixture list is an absolute shocker” 😄😄😄😄 Just make sure you start the match day thread, and I’ll chalk up the 3 points.

Any chance it being called off? Assume snow gone and it’s just wet over that way

The George have put on their Facebook page they won’t be opening until 3 because of the match. Apparently there is (usually) a fanzone serving beer behind the away end

Useful:
The Park and Ride service from Renishaw (GL5 5EY) will be in operation for this weekend's game against Bristol Rovers. The service starts at 12:30pm, with buses running approximately every 15 minutes until kick-off. The service costs £3, with only card payments accepted. We encourage both home and away supporters to use this service.

The tent they used to put on for our pre season games up there was always tiny, more of a Wendy house than anything. The positive being it’ll give those who fancy a bevvie something to do pre match, last season was beyond a shambles.
& Pubs not opening till 3 because of “that football lot”, laughable. The club and town as unfit for professional football as you could wish to imagine.

Not sure it's the towns fault that the club has outgrown it, probably one of the reasons that planning permission seemed quite easy for their new ground. Not sure what happens with the pubs when other teams sell out the allocation. Is it the numbers or the team. Open the pubs but limit away fans to 500, not popular.

Looking on the George pubs website they clearly do let some away fans in as there is pictures of Bolton fans in there on it. Ah well fanzone it is.

Must be the team, surely they don’t shut for every single set of fans that sells out the allocation. That’ll be at least 10 Saturdays! Unfortunate for us, even worse for them. Those boozers will make more in 3 of 4 hours than they will all week! Also not keen on any park & ride, will still be at at the top of that hill by 7pm! Stroll up and down the hill it is, home in time for the late game 🤘🏼

FROM THE FGR TICKET NEWS FEED
Less than 100 tickets left for the South Stand.
We could break our record attendance at The Bolt New Lawn tomorrow🤩
The record currently stands at 4,836 vs Derby County in 2009🗓️

Probably gain a few supporters joining the 92 club but lose some that find going to FGR a bit of a pain. Parking restrictions improved a bit so getting down the hill is greatly improved. They had Leeds in a friendly a few years ago on a Tuesday night. 3000+ crowd, they forgot to manage the parking. Carnage

The thing I don’t understand is the pubs there welcome the likes of Portsmouth, Derby and Sheffield Wednesday but just don’t want to serve the hoardes of Bristolians from just down the road. You’d think with pubs going under left, right and centre they’d be happy to take a decent amount of money on the day.

Any tips for parking nearby? I think last time I parked in the school. But can’t seem to find any spaces.
