With Derby being a dank, dark, Dickensian shithole, expect there to be more Rams here than the last sheep shagging convention on the south island of New Zealand.
The team themselves are like their fans: scruffy and of dubious hygiene, so it'll be even more aromatic up The Mem today. (It's bad enough with Stadler and Waldorf farting all game on the West Enclosure).
Anyway, football...2-1 to us and a 9,800 crowd.

Hope we frustrate and wind them up today. Will be funny to see one of the “big boys” lose is as it dawns on them they’ll have to come back to the mem next season!

History is made today as Derby County become the 77th club from the current 92 playing at The Mem in a Football League game. Rovers moved to the Mem in season 1996-97.
Wrexham Notts County Dagenham & Redbridge Oldham Barnet Scunthorpe Southend Torquay Yeovil Aldershot Chesterfield Bury Rushden & Diamonds Chester City Darlington Boston Macclesfield & York City have also played football league matches at the Mem.Dont think I have missed any?
Sunny day hopefully an entertaining match. Looking forward to it.

Can't say I enjoy long hopeless balls forward to Coburn having to compete with two or three defenders, knowing the ball is constantly coming back at us, but being relived that Charlton had an off day.(and Hoole and Gordon were excellent intercepting passes to their wide men time and time again). Nothing to lose today, so why not try to fight toe to toe in an entertaining expansive game with wide men beating their men and lot of midfield runs into the box and shots from inside and outside the box? Surely Derby will be a bit nervy and perhaps may leave gaps for us to try and exploit. |

I like the look for Frostys 11. But think Evans will start, not Sinclair. Grind out the first half and bring some more direct running on in the 2nd half.
Loft or Coburn up top. Not sure which way I’d go but either capable of softening up the opposition before the other comes on to finish it!
