I'm not sure if I believe any of that. What don't you believe out of interest?

I believe that for every drop of rain that falls, a flower grows.

It's a speculative piece at the end of the day. Maybe we/NH is desperate but at the end of the day at least something however obscure has been done to put the name out there

Desperate Higgs in 'Buy me out' plea.
News emerged yesterday that Higgs is ready to cut his losses and sell out to a consortium of asset strippers. His plan leaves Rovers on the brink of folding as things look increasingly bleak for the non league strugglers.
Read the full story in tomorrows Bristol City Evening Post.....etc.

Before the season started and when there were people screaming for Higg's head I actually said that I thought that it was a good time to buy Rovers for many of the reasons that he states.
We cant argue with the fact that the potential is enormous - with a major city being starved of a decent football club.
The stadium would effectively allow us to make the next step up the ladder.
Within 5 years we could be playing premiership football if the right manager is bankrolled and we are promoted through the leagues. It may sound a fantasy to us now but simply ask Swansea and Hull and lets see if the agree.
So maybe he does want out and maybe he wants to recoup his losses but you cant argue with his logic.
It occurs to me however that the type of people he is addressing dont want success tomorrow but are prepared to pay more for it today - so it will be interesting to see if anything transpires

So the watertight contract might be springing a few leaks?

He's advertising the club to potential buyers. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion. Doesn't mean we're in trouble, just that we're looking to grow. Fair play to Higgs, in my view.

So the watertight contract might be springing a few leaks? Just the opposite i feel. Anyone buying the club will carry out due diligence in that they will investigate every aspect of it. If NH has stated that the stadium is going ahead and deliberately conceals or misleads a prospective purchaser then he personally will be taken to the cleaners. The fact that he is inviting someone to take the club over rather than just buy a stake in it suggests that he is confident that everything is as he says it is. Not sure why everyone seems to think this is so negative .
