I didn't realise Brentford B's venue was TBC! I can't think of a season when we've had such an uninspiring list of pre-season fixtures. Yes, but I suppose the main purpose of pre-season friendlies is to build up fitness, get new players used to each other, try formations etc so not sure the opposition matters greatly. But I do agree that the thought of playing Brentford B is a bit of a comedown. We were playing their main team only a few years ago. Oh well.đ¤ UTG!

No such thing as an âentertaining/pulsatingâ pre season game. Even coming away with a win against champ opposition is meh, nothing on the line but minutes in the legs for players.
The opposition is very much immaterial.

Currently, the Bookies have Bristol Rovers to finish in a comfortable mid-table position. About right I suppose.

I for 1 will be disappointed if we end up there 3 more signings that push us to the top 7 needed (4 if the court case intervenes). We all know what is required, so does Joey. Wael seems to be backing him. As it stands, mid table about right. Lots of mid sides strengthening this year as they see the same opportunity.

The opposition is very much immaterial. Not sure that's the case as surely being given a good workout by a Championship side is better than putting 6 or 7 goals past a non league side. It's also a good opportunity to see the new signings before the season starts.

No way would I pay to watch a pre season friendly on the TV, itâs bad enough going to the games.
