He’s a guy who moans at referees, no different to Alex Ferguson, Mourinho and Barton. Why reference his appearance? One of my friends who is a Gashead is overweight, salt of the earth bloke. He’s been told about his blood pressure, trying his best to watch his weight, actually many on here know him, he’s a big character around the club. Nobody said you can't be a decent fat bloke, but if you're fat you're far. One of the hardest working people I work with is the most overweight because he doesn't look after himself well enough. We seem too scared to call a spade a spade these days. Even books that have been read by kids for decades are in danger of being cancelled in case they upset anyone who might be overweight!!

Newcastle sell out every match though right? Their fans have no morals then. I haven't suggested they do or don't. You insinuated that our owners stand for terrible human rights simply because they are from Middle East countries. We are not owned by the Jordanian, or Kuwaiti state I guess I did. But you did suggest that the toon ownership is worse than ours, so I made the call about Newcastle fans and their morals. I wonder if HG2 have quizzed our owners about their thoughts on the treatment of women in those countries? You'll notice that fans of other clubs had alot to say about the Newcastle owners but the joyous toon army, not so much.

There must be thousands of people with PTSD filling psychiatric wards up and down the country who read Roald Dahl books before they started getting re-written and having those traumatic and hugely offensive words like fat and ugly removed.

I agree wholeheartedly about the descriptions of that rag, the Sun. But in reality that is just a deflection from the points made about Barton. They are all true are they not? So I ask again, what on earth possessed the owners of the club to allow such a person be associated with us. Given the points made, what on earth possessed people to start a petition to reinstate him. Good riddance. Oldie I often agree with you but I suspect if you were to look at any charge sheet, then those of The Sun outweigh those of JB. What they did over the Millie Dowler and Hillsborough reports and they still think they have a right to take any moral high ground. I’d say the Barton stuff is the deflection away from their ‘crimes’. Anyway he’s gone and we all move on. UTG!

We seem too scared to call a spade a spade these days. Perhaps but it’s also a good thing to think before you say something that may cause offence about personal appearances. GGMI, I’m sure you’ll bring your children up to be polite, think before they say something and try not to offend people or make people uncomfortable by what they say or what they do. ‘Calling a spade a spade’ is an easy-get-out for some people to excuse their bad manners. UTG!

But, if the things that the Sun printed were printed in The Times Literary Supplement, they would not be any more/less true. Forget the Sun, the only facts to consider is that we actually had this person representing the club. That's the point. Let's see who the executive appoint next...it would be hard to appoint anyone worse.

It's nothing new though JB's crime sheet when he joined us was even worse as he was still facing the Strendel charge and then shortly afterwards faced the Mrs B assault charge. JB seems to live on the edge of criminalty. Given Wael seems to be taking a back seat now and JB's gone it's really time to move on.

We seem too scared to call a spade a spade these days. Obesity and depression are often closely linked and it's not as simple as saying people just don't look after themselves. To some, eating is a comfort and relief from depression, but it's a also the cause of further depression at times. It's a bit of a vicious circle. Very difficult to escape from, and definitely much harder than people who haven't been through it think. One thing I don't like though is this trend towards people celebrating their large size on social media, and we are supposed to celebrate with them instead of pointing out that it's not actually something that we should be celebrating.

How about other people that are affected by this? People that struggle daily to try and lose weight. It can often be a mental health issue which requires compassion. If that’s the case from what I see there must be a hell of a lot of people suffering with mental health. The vast majority being definately lifestyle/ diet problems I would suggest. Yes, there are. Mental health issues have increased in the modern world. An increase in anxiety, an increase in depression. Some will say these people are just snowflakes who need to get a grip. Some will show compassion and understanding. I'll leave this for you to watch and contemplate:

I'll leave this for you to watch and contemplate: Waste of time debating it and I agree with you but some have dark ages thinking towards mental health and bullying. On here we have levels of what is ok abuse based on appearance. It’s ok to call someone fat, oh but we shouldn’t really mention their skin colour, I don’t think calling a ginge is bad! I think it’s ok to sing the Jason Lee song he’s got a pineapple on his head, some will say all this. It’s interesting Carl Saunders didn’t really like being called Billy Ocean. My partners nephew Malachi is ginger, 12 years old, terrible bullying at school about it, it’s ok, he’s a ginge! Someone will say I was referencing Barton, GGMI said he’s a fat man shouting at refs previous I think referencing Barton. If someone had said he’s a n***** shouting at refs they would not have flippantly used this word! Levels.

Steve Evans is a fat guy who always moans at Referees though. For all Barton's mishaps, he's spot on with that one. So if he said he’s a N or a ginger, or dyslexic, or bipolar, or gay, would you have just flippantly typed this up? You see it’s ok to take the p*** out of fat people, they are just fat! Imagine this………. Steve Evans is a bipolar/albino guy who always moans at Referees though. For all Barton's mishaps, he's spot on with that one

Nobody said you can't be a decent fat bloke, but if you're fat you're fat. One of the hardest working people I work with is the most overweight because he doesn't look after himself well enough. One thing I don't like though is this trend towards people celebrating their large size on social media, and we are supposed to celebrate with them instead of pointing out that it's not actually something that we should be celebrating. My weight has been up and down my entire life, from obese to an athlete and then back again, currently halfway back to somewhat lean. It is indeed traumatic events that trigger it. However, it’s a deficiency of mine. It’s weakness. It needs to be spoken as such. It’s a bad thing. Regardless of why, that is irrelevant. If I give in and say “life’s hard” everyone has to deal with the consequences. My wife and children may lose their father and husband. I’d be too slow to be a good dad. I’ll bring ridicule and shame on them. Consequences matter. Intentions are not enough. It’s the outcomes which matter. Messing up and saying “it was hard because this happened to me” is just an excuse, it’s saying you weren’t able to mitigate your own tendencies. Responsibility is freedom. The issue is everyone’s egos are so fragile these days they can’t cope with saying “I fd up”. There’s nothing wrong with that. That’s being human. So yes, if you’re overweight and unhealthy then you should feel some level of uncomfortable feelings, especially if you have dependents.
