would you change the system that we have used all season[mostly] ie 4-4-2 just to allow balanta to play "in the hole"? Our most convincing game this season was against Macclesfield when we played 4-3-1-2 and had Goldberg and later Gosling playing in the hole which proved very effective. I would have Taylor in the hole with Harrison and Balanta up front knowing we have Easter to come in as well. Great forward line which can easily be rotated. Div 2 teams would struggle against this line up not saying it couldnt work but i think at this stage dc will stick with the default 4-4-2 mostly until the end of the season

Undecided at the moment. Certainly not without potential but not seeing enough of it.

From what I have seen of Balanta this season I feel there is an excellent player in there waiting to come out. Don't think he was fully fit at the start of the season and I am sure he is not 100% yet. His first touch on Tuesday was invariably heavy, which will be bound to improve with more game time. However his vision and control once in possession looked impressive. Just think he needs a regular run, both starting games and as an impact sub. He has an important role to play over the next 10 games and hopefully he will peak at the right time.

Unfortunately for me I think there's a decent player waiting to come out of Balanta, Blissett and Harrison but as yet I've seen very little to suggest that day is close.

Seen very little to suggest that day is close ? Have you seen Balanta and more especially Harrison's performances lately. I am an Ellis fan and as far as Balanta was concerned , he lacked fitness and his attitude was worrying but he has shown he can read the game well and is an asset to us. If we are to get out of this league then pace, skill and ability to finish a move is needed. Balanta and especially Harrison have that !

I personally think our best set up could be ------------Easter---------- Taylor --- Balanta--- Dawson ------Mansell--Sinclair----- and replace Taylor/Dawson with monkhouse if necessary. But obviously now isn't the time to be tinkering and that's best left for pre season, not that I think DC will go with this system. No way. This looks awful. Taylor on the wing? Were you not watching while Derek Riordan was here? Being a striker that can't score does not make a player a winger. Well the idea of this system is that the front 4 players, and in particular the 3 behind the striker, interchange and link up. Balanta and Taylor can interchange and I think it would give our most creative players freedom. Rather than this rigid 4-4-2 which leaves a huge gap from our defensively minded midfield and strikers. It's also ridiculous to compare Riordan and Taylor so i'm not even going to argue that point! Like I said, its not going to happen at this late stage in the season anyway but I think it could potentially be our best system.
