Jamie Lucas is banging in the goals again at Weston - another hat-trick at the weekend.
I hope he keeps going an earns himself another contract with the club next season, whatever division we are in.
He's a great lad, polite and always happy to chat, and when he's at his game an excellent finisher (both feet). Really hope he can break into the first team this or next season.

With the Gas climbing the ladder it may be hard for him to get the chance! you feel this was to be the season for up and coming youngsters to shine/prove themselves.

From what I have seen of him (not much admittedly) I reckon he will be good enough at some stage for League 2 at least. If we go up and he continues to bang em in, then maybe a conference premier loan next season.

We've sunk to our lowest level for god knows how many years and none of the first year pros have got a look in. Unfortunately, those who might have made an impact left : Macey, Santos and Donovan Wilson. Maybe Jamie will buck the trend - next season ?

Sadly true. unlikely that many youngsters will get a look-in when we are top of lge, yet never trashing anyone. having said that Clarke & Lockyer are very young. And leadbitter, blissett and even Parkes are hardly oldies!

Well the club did go through a phase of trying to replicate Crewe's youth success under the Trollop era. sadly only Lockyer, Clarke and Harrison made it.

It's more about - number of games and the level they've played at that I think gives us an indication of what they will/might achieve. Too much is made about age. you can have a 20 year old who's already played 100 games - e.g. Gary Mabbutt and possibly Holloway played that many before they were 21 ??

Must admit, that advertising for the Race Night was very poor. Noticed quite a few walked out when a list of horses went onto the big screen. Keeping the football on would had encouraged a few to remain.

I think he should be brought into the fold now - we have a couple of misfiring strikers here, and need to get the ball in the net more often! Give him a try I say and see what happens
