How many penalties was that? If Harrison was taking them he would be on about 16-17 for the season. I'm not a Taylor slagger, but didn't feel he justified the tag of pulling defenders everywhere. He didn't create the space for Easters goal for instance. It was rank bad defending. Taylor misses far to many chances for me, and a lot of this creativity talk I feel is a myth. Remember when he was signed we were told he likes to play off the shoulder of the last defender. Sorry, but that is his biggest problem, he doesn't. If he did he would be a lot more effective. Now Easter is something else. He plays the role well. I think Taylor should play deeper in order to bring in his supposed playmaking skills. Why oh why oh why do you have to be pro Taylor and anti-Ellis or vice versa on this forum! It's possible to say they have both made vital contributions this year. For the record, Taylor has scored 13 league goals, of which 8 have been from open play (5 pens). Ellis has scored 7 goals, 6 have been from open play (1 pen). In all competitions Taylor has scores 14, 9 of which have been from open play. Ellis has scored 10, 9 of which have been from open play. It's nonsensical to say 'If Harrison was taking them' as he wasn't on the pitch in the first place for most of them and Taylor was fouled for at least two of his, for which surely even the most dour poster would give him some credit. This is not a criticism of Ellis by the way! Well done to both of them! Oi - shut it! I'M supposed to be Mr Boringly Reasonable. Choose one of 'em and Get Stuck In.

Anyone know what the issue is with Blissett? Does seem odd he's not being given a chance, but is he injured / unfit? I think it's just competition, isn't it? He needs to be on good form to justify his place now we have options. I hope he's a long-term developer though. Taylor, Harrison, Easter and probably Monkhouse and Balanta are all in front of him.

I've got to admit I really don't see any of the the strong, quick, good in the air that was banded about with Bliss. What I see is a big bloke who's not a very good footballer and probably won't make it. Hope I'm wrong. Then again I thought the same about that Tounkara bloke and loads on here were raving about his pace but I thought he looked slow In the legs and head like Bliss does. One thing we've got to do without that kind of player is keep it on the deck though and we did that last night to good effect.

Not sure if it's had or made use of, I think Blisset has it but chooses not to use it!

I'm not a pro or negative Taylor, Harrison or anyone else. I call it how I see it and imo Taylor last night didn't do much other than knock in a good volley. Fair play to him it was a cracking finish.
But I didn't see much link play going on, didn't see any headers won, he got bossed by the shots defenders all night, and started drifting wide.
On other occasions this year he's done all of the above but done everything but score and had a hatful of chances. And I think that's the frustrating thing with Taylor for some. He will either be immense and convert nothing or drift in and out of the game but pop up with a vital goal.

Works his socks off for the team, still young and has the potential to be a very decent player for us in the long term... Just needs a bit more luck than anything else

He, at the moment really lacks in these 3 when presented with a chance.
