My player of the season would have to be Matty Taylor.
He works his socks off every game he plays, to really see Matty's game you need to be in The Dribuild Stand his movement and positional play are superb, great vision and footballing skills add to that his sheer grit and determination to achieve and you basically have the model footballer, i think the only reason many many others won't choose him as their player of the season is the fact most think he hasn't scored enough......it is a point, but i think his overall play more than makes up for this and i don't know anyone who has contributed more to our season. I'm also drawn to a quote from one of history's finest ever sportsman:
I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed. Michael Jordan

It is nice to actually have a few options for a change but it has to be Parkes for me as we have got to where we are now because of a solid defence and he has been at the heart of it all season. Mansell and Taylor run him very closely though. Harrison for young player as his goals have been crucial and his improvement has been huge but Lockyer comes a very close second.

For me, it's a toss up between Parkes, Taylor, and Harrison.
Parkes - Our most consistent defender, who has contributed to being the key player in the best defence in the league. Taylor - Our top goalscorer. Harrison - The player most improved, who has scored the most important goals at important times.

Most improved, without a shadow of a doubt, Ellis Harrison. Also the young player of the year assuming he is of the required age.
Player of the Year - Tom Parkes, Matty Taylor, or Lee Mansell for me.

If it wasn't for his injury I would go for Sinclair but given he's only done half a season Tom parks should get it , he's improved so much this year and I'm certain he'll be in the conference team of the year. As for the young player award its a toss up between Tom lockyer and Ellis Harrison , currently I would go with Lockyer for his consistency and maturity he's shown over the whole season but if Ellis manages to score the goals we need to go up between now and the end of the season he would be a shoe in for the award.

It's difficult to pick one player this year. We are where we because we have defended as a unit. It hasn't always been pretty but we have grafted for every point. The standouts for me have been Parkes, Brown, Mansell, Lockyer and Taylor. I'm sure a clear winner will make himself known over the next 3 games!

I agree and I also think the 'team of the year' is pretty bullshit tbh. The winner of the league is the team of the year, every player has played their part. If we win it, it's because every member of our squad worked their bollocks off for us; and in that I include the likes of Dave Martin and Adam Cunnington.

Not really; I can't remember him contributing anything to be honest. That said I don't doubt he applied himself and certainly caused no unrest in the dressing room - which is a credit to him considering the poison we've had at this club over the last few years.

Taylor for me - a class player, a pleasure to see someone at this level looking comfortable using either foot. If only he'd tucked away some of those great chances we might've won the league by now .... but he still has the potential to improve !

Because I think he's missed far too many chances, as a striker. Not putting the bloke down, think he's had a great season but not enough to warrant player of the season.

Taylor could be our highest goalscorer since Hoskins but seems to divide opinion like no other (goal scoring) striker we've ever had at the club. if he gets to 20 goals that will be an hell of an achievement.

I wouldn't say it that strongly - it is The Conference after all. I would say a good achievement but he has been outstanding in his general play, with his assists and quality on and off the ball.
