I didn't realize Grimsby had been in the playoffs twice but never got through to the final. Based on that I'd rather have Eastleigh. Grimsby would feel it was their time if they get through. think of it the other way around. They will be nervous as hell if they finally get to a play-off final. Around 10 years ago Lincoln City had a Lge 2 run of 4 play-off losses in a row. They then reached their 5th play-off in a row, and narrowly lost 2-1 in the away leg. Can anyone remember what happened in the game at Sincil Bank??

Eastleigh even though it should be us v Grimsby because we both deserve to be in the Final due to the final positions. Only want Eastleigh because then with their low support we can sing . Wembley is ours,Wembley is ours, We're Bristol Rovers,Wembley is ours!!

Eastleigh for me for the following reasons;
1) We haven't played a full strength Grimsby side this season (I know that's not our fault or problem) first game of the season they were desamated with injuries and suspensions and the away game they were missing Palmer there pivotal striker and Pittman who is a player we have struggled against in the past when playing for Wycombe.
2) I would love to see that smug big eared cretin Craig Stanley crying on the pitch with his best mate Harry 'Streak Of P1ss' Pell.
3) it would be a home game as Wembley if we were to get there. Unless there chairman hires extras for the day to bulk there crowd up!
4) We owe them. They are on a par with Forest Gimps for being dirty cheating barstewards.

How many teams have won the play offs with clean sheets in all 3 games? Must be rare? Rare, yes...but why be scared of being better than other teams? Oh I completely agree with you, I just thought that was worth pointing out

Grimsby players are having to walk 2 MILES to the ground due to congestion. Kick off delayed until 8.15pm! LOL! Thank god that didn't happen to us yesterday!

KO delayed by 30 minutes due to traffic problems.
Reports of Grimsby players having to walk 2 miles to game after coach couldn't even reach team hotel - not ideal preparation for either side but especially Grimsby.
EDIT: Beaten to it!

Surely 5000 fans can't cause a 2 mile traffic jam, as Eastleigh's Chairman parked all his Bentley's around Eastleigh to block up the local roads? Or is just p155 poor planning by Grimsby?

IF, big if, we get to Wembley I would want to face the worst team of the two! So, I suppose the best outcome would be for one team to look so much better than the other but somehow fail to win; such as a terrible referring decision, or a goalkeeping slip. I would be gutted to lose to Eastleigh due to their history, size, sugar daddy approach etc. Losing to the 3rd highest team in the league wouldn't seem quite so bad. But then it could be fate that the crap team would go up whatever happened.

I think Grimsby will win over two legs.
I'd like to see Eastleigh do well though, as in not let Grimsby score a hat full. I wouldn't like Grimsby to win this and then go and score four or five at home.
Eastleigh to get a goal back here and Grimsby to win the second leg one nil.
I think it would be easier to play Eastleigh if we get through.
