Now, i dont know if im missing something, but i find it hard to believe the Grimsby Town fans have got just one block on Level 2. does this mean the they could only be taking around 15,000 fans? At best, by the looks of it.

So we've only sold 10,000 more then grimsby even though we've sold all the middle tier and they've sold none and about 10 blocks in top tier

We seem to be stuck on 24000 for ever!!! Surely must be nearing 45000 total now and if Grimsby are nearing 12000 then if we are only on 24000 thats about 36000 leaving up to 9000 neutrals. can't believe there will be that many neutrals wanting to watch a Conference Final!! Will be very surprised if we arent near 30000 now. how many people would honestly decide this late to go? and get the worst seats, for the same price as some really decent seats. and still have to pay £1.95 to pick up their tickets at the box office?

@conferencefootie have tweeted you can buy tickets directly from Wembley on Sunday having prevously suggested only tickets would be sold via Seetickets, although no prices have been mentioned but I assume the booking & postage fees won't be charged if you buy them on Sunday? Of course, they knew they were going to do this, all along, they just wanted to misinform everyone to maximise their advance sales. Also, if they charge 1.95 for people picking up their tickets at the ticket office, pretty sure they'll charge people 'handling' for buying on the day. I've paid more than £1.95 in the past for a good bit of handling. we call it fumbling in our village though.

No doubt they'll still charge you £1.95 to "hand over" the ticket. Quite. I expect there to be a range of options. VIP Right hand express: £4.50. They'll hand over the ticket with their good hand, which is a bit quicker than using their left hand. And the assistant calls you sir/madam as he hands it over. Left hand economy express: £3.85. Slightly slower than the right hand express option, and they don't guarantee not to drop or bend the ticket a bit before you get it. Standard option: £2.50: The bloke behind the counter puts it on a pile, and then a second bloke behind the counter picks up the pile and sorts through the tickets before finding yours, then tuts a bit and hands it over. Budget option: £1.95: Guaranteed to lose your ticket, tell you you're not on their list anyway, then they find you on their list and make you wait fifteen minutes while they look for the ticket again, and then blame you for losing it. It's all about choice. classic i'd definitely go for the right hand option. In a lot of cultures the left hand is for wiping the arse. I hesitant to call BS3 a distinct sub-culture though.

Any news from the wooden hut in conference boys garden because Grimsby are quoting 13000 and ours are still selling today unless there is a mass redirection of Gasheads from the neutral area

My guess is they won't purchase any more online now as they'd only have to pick them up on the day anyway (which they can do without booking online now as Wembley are selling them on "the gate" and they might even avoid the ridiculous booking fees then).

Quite honestly, i cant see many more sales for Sundays game. It would thnk that all those wanting to go would had bought their tickets by now. You may get a hundred or so pay on the day, but my feeling is that all sales will cease sometime this afternoon. My prediction for the final total sold would be 44,000.

This whole saga will be over in a few hours when the Conference Twitter updates and breaks down the numbers.

This whole saga will be over in a few hours when the Conference Twitter updates and breaks down the numbers. Knowing the conference they'll come out and say 50,000 in total without giving a breakdown!

This whole saga will be over in a few hours when the Conference Twitter updates and breaks down the numbers. You have more faith in the Conference twitter feed than I do. I suspect they'll find a way to add some confusion / uncertainty to the mix.

GRIMSBY Town players took to the supermarket to issue a last minute call to arms ahead of Sunday's mammoth Wembley play-off final. Grimsby Town will take on Bristol Rovers at the national stadium with a return to the Football League in their sights. Town have sold more than 12,000 tickets for the showpiece – with more than 42,000 sold in total.

To be honest I don't think anybody really knows? In saying that I am very surprised at the low numbers being quoted knowing how passionate rovers fans are I expect above 30000 will be there cheering us on to victory (fingers crossed)

The conference have been arseholes about the whole attendance breakdown. Instead of just announcing the amount of tickets sold by each club they've just put random numbers not including neutrals. Ive heard from a few sources we've sold near 30,000 and think we'll hit that figure.
I don't the whole 'Grimsby are currently buying more' thing? Bit pathetic really. Let's all just hope we can get out of this tinpot hellhole on Sunday!

Conference current total announced For those asking, we would just like to clarify the numbers sold to date, so that there can be no ambiguity around which teams have sold what. So, to avoid confusion, please find the breakdown below: - 48,763 tickets sold to date - Of this figure, precisely the age of 14 goldfish who have lived roughly the average age one can expect a goldfish to live in a reasonably clean bowl, multiplied by the number of times the average person climbs a staircase each day, plus pi to 14 digits as a factorial of 8, relates to Neutrals - Grimsby have sold precisely the weight of 11 averagely sized bricks, multiplied by the circumference of a tennis racket to the power of 7 - Rovers fans have sold exactly 3.87 tickets more than Grimsby We trust that this clarifies the matter. Now p!ss off.

The seats are spread over three tiers: lower 34,303, middle 16,532 and upper 39,165
We have sold out the lower and middle tiers plus say 36.6% of our top tier. Even if the rovers allocation for each tier is only 40% of the total seats available, I reckon we've sold 13721 lower 6612 middle and 5734 upper. That's 26067 excluding gas in the neutral area.
I estimate that 3000 neutral tickets were bought by rovers fans when our cat 1 areas sold out. I also predict that at least 933 Bristolians will pay on the day having experienced problems with their Virgin Media service since tickets went on general sale.
So 30,000 + with the "missing" 10,000 cheering us on from Manchester before the Arsenal game.
