I'm in two minds. Part of me says no but then I think that the majority of these players were nothing to do with last season so shouldn't be punished for what happened. Plus the ones who did stay deserve a celebration for all they've done.
Also a good idea for the kids.

I can think of loads of reasons why it should happen but none why it shouldn't, it is an achievement regardless of whether we should have been in the conference or not. To not celebrate getting out of the conference especially at first time of asking almost devalues the other teams in the league.
The only caveat I would put on it, would be that for the whole journey Matty Taylor should carry the cup naked with only a sock to cover his modesty, with said sock resting firmly in the bowl of the cup.

Well it can't be any later than this weekend as surely the players will be off on their holidays pretty soon? I would have thought before 2007 that it was planned before the game so all arrangements were in place, but I am guessing that hasn't happend this year, especially with the court case now. In my opinion if DC doesn't want one (save it for next year as he said) then there shouldn't be one. I couldn't give a flying fkuc if DC wants one or not! My kids want one. It's our club, not DCs. If some fans aren't interested, they don't need to watch it but plenty of people would want to see Bristol Rovers parade in Bristol and the East. We have had enough misery since 2008, let's celebrate the good times.

It would be nice to see them again on the open top. The harbourside was filled with 'red chavs' as my next door neighbour put it 2 weeks ago. Lets change that and make it full of blue and white normal people who aren't arrogant and are there with family and friends celebrating.
The players made a real go of it @ embargo on Sunday night as it is...lets hope they are less hungover for the open top!

It's a bit like taking yourself out for a drink in appreciation of a particularly good shuffle. It's a no from me. It's a brilliant achievement and I am immensely proud of DC and the lads. Champions deserve a bus ride, not runners up. I have to agree with you Hugo, the club as a whole have done us very proud and it is a fantastic achievement after the end of last season. It's a no for me. Anyway where's the poll?

would be good if the club did a presentation at the open day when the new kits are released. let little kids have pictures with the cup etc..... not sure a bus tour would be as popular as 2007

Finishing at the Mem too. Get the bar, shop and a pasty hut open and really utilise this opportunity.

Please don't let it be the first open top Mini-Bus parade! Having said that i expect Mr Watola has sanctioned 5 taxis as he wasn't expecting it! Hopefully it'll be Rich's Groundbreaking bus

I'll be there.
I understand people think we should have never become a conference club in the first place, but respect what this group of players and coaches have achieved. DC has taken us from rock bottom back into the league in a single season.
Long may we continue rising through the leagues!
