Plan B - We toddle on like we always have, being mediocre in a rubbish stadium....and secretly not really minding it because it's all we've ever known. Our stadium really will hinder us sooner rather than later in terms of players wanting to sign for us. I can't imagine anyone is impressed with it when they turn up.

you've only got to look around the ground to realize that the mem is almost the perfect example of a make-do set up....
i guess plan b is that we become world leaders in this field if we aren't already....

It is important that we bring in young supporters and generate some positivity around the club that makes us attractive to future fans. We've had the grotto. What more do you want?

There really can't be a plan B in my view, we simply have to move. The Mem is not fit for purpose and would cost more money than the UWE is costing to make it into a even half decent stadium. Whatever happens Monday we are half way to our dream in that we have a site with permission to build a stadium. As wierd as it may sound I cannot see the UWE not happening.

I share your view RoyalBlue. Swansea is the perfect model, local authority got behind that and I believe S Glos may still be an important player that has been relatively silent on the whole thing. I firmly believe they want it to happen and will do what they can to ensure it does. If Bristol can fund the arena for £90m a bit of help from S Glos, possibly funded from the Filton airfield goldmine, could well be on the cards IMHO. I think Sainsburys deal has been over for some time, tomorrow puts it out of its misery, but don't think UWE dead yet

G79 why so negative a sports stadium is part of S Glos overall plans and we've been told in the past the stadium project is the lever which opens £200m of investment plus the Henbury Loop. I've no idea of S Glos will help fund the UWE but I don't feel it will be the end of the stadium regardless of the verdict.

Let's wait n see. I have no faith in any of the former Avon councils delivering anything. All they do is bicker. Henbury loop? Lol. The bus thing has already started falling apart. Watch the arena fumble along with problem after problem. Where are these s glos councillors? Why aren't they being noisy about this lever to millions? The whole stadium saga has been a cluster f**k and if the wheels fall off tomorrow it will trigger changes amongst our club anyway leading to rethinks.

the henbury loop plans are moribund anyway, it was never gonna happen, but as an idealistically decent concept it kept a lot of mp's talking a good game for several years, and then you get a great example of how little control mp's actually have.... www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bristol-33458468
