Lol. Not even predictable. I'm beginning to think some of them think we are mushrooms, totally unaware of what's going on! First DCs forum now his contract. The bloke is being used as a buffer between bad news and the supporters. It does make me smile the way some people are determined to Board bash regardless of what the news is. Do you really think that Darrell would have put pen to paper if he didnt at least have some respect for Nick Higgs and the job he is doing. He has received at least 3 offers over the close season and if things were as bad as some supporters indicate he would have taken one of them. I'm not discussing DCs contract. More the timing and behaviour of the BoD. I usually stick up for anything Rovers if I feel criticism is unwarranted. The last few events have really bugged me though. Every piece of bad news has been quickly followed by something positive. How wet behind the ears? Same sort of tricks I use on my kids!! It's great that DC has signed though. Chuffed with that.

IMHO most important signing! Just started my non shop at sainsburys, going to be hard queuing for ever at Lidl in Emerson's! Wow! Hope we win the appeal!

Cheltenham, Tranmere and Hartlepool Is this serious?! Can't be? What planet.... solar system.... universe even - would the Cheltenham BoD have to be on to even think he'd possibly join them? Absolutely no chance it's correct IMO Plus don't they have GJ?

How long is the contract? Who cares; it's watertight I'm told, so doesn't matter.

Apparently his contract states he is free to walk if the court case appeal in unsuccessful. Well done Mr Watertight. I mean Higgs.

So for months everyone has been asking where DC's new contract is and why the Board haven't shown some commitment to DC to reward him for his efforts.
Now they do what everyone wants and suddenly it's Conspiracy Corner.
I know, I know. "It's all about the timing of it."

If they'd done the review prior to last season kicking off they could have stopped a festering undercurrent from growing instead of letting it building up. Now, once again they are on the back foot and it was entirely avoidable. Its not ever going away and the opportunity has been missed.

Nick Higgs when he watched DC sign on the dotted line: Nick Higgs after he'd read this thread:
