Tin pot existence, making the players make their own way to Cheltenham for a friendly ffs, what's all that about? Well....Depending on where all the players live, they might have requested it for this match? If some of the guys live out of town it might be a bit of a nausea to travel in, get the transport, travel back, to drive back to where they live. Especially if they live north of Bristol. It could be looked at as tinpot or relaxed or grown up or informal or sensible or DC might be offering some rope to see how they do.

Sorry. None of your answers are critical enough.

I don't think that it would have been imposed upon the players. With the holiday traffic this weekend, it's probably easier for them to go direct from A to B, rather than via The Mem.

What a sad post, any excuse for some to have a pop. They are grown men, more than capable of turning up at a ground 30 miles away to play a game of football, don't they make their own way to the mem every home game and it does not seem to do them any harm.

"...I thought the players were attending the open day tomorrow?..."
Only those who can manage to make their own way to the Mem,I fear. Can't trust them all to find it unless taken on a coach.

A sign of the times.
Torquay cancelled today's game at Truro because they couldn't afford the cost of the team coach. They agreed to play the fixture after the Truro chairman agreed to cover the cost.

I'm just saying it's an indictment on today's game. The top clubs get richer whilst Torquay et al get poorer. Whilst we tread water Barrow for example are looking to overtake. Dare I mention Fleetwood and Crawley? Not looking to seek anyone out 79, we all have views, sometimes I think we need to realise the level we are at, even after promotion. Xxxxxx
