Simple Question - What makes you think that the BoD will be running the new stadium ?? my understanding is that the Stadium complex will be jointly run by The UWE AND Bristol Rovers Stadium Ltd which as you know is NOT the football club Henbury And pray tell who are the directors of Bristol Rovers Stadium Ltd, and who are the majority shareholders in that company...tell the people.. So you are now suggesting that the UWE will be jointly responsible for operations....so are you saying that all the incremental revenues will be shared? If so, so much for the promised land... What i am saying and its something you don't get is that the stadium is not under the FULL control of the Bod of BRFC so other parties will have some control & checks on what is going on, maybe people who have turned the UWE from a tin pot ex Bristol Polytechnic to a world leading research facility attracting many millions in investment and is now looking to expand into sports Science

Two points
The club have said, openly, there are people ready to invest once the stadium is built Nick Higgs has said the stadium will be self sufficient and self sustaining with it's own revenue streams
These are two extremely vague statements that are not quantified or qualified in any way. They also come from people who have found it so very easy to lie and misdirect.
There is no way that a newly built stadium or business can be self sustaining from the day it is built. We would have to have a feasability study and to research how to place the marketing. Any business takes time to build up and this would be no different. Where are these " streams" of finance going to come from ? How are we to price the facilities to be more favourable to use over the already competitive conference facilities already available in the area ? It makes no sense to say the stadium will run itself and be financially favourable as a stand alone business from day one. Anyone with any business acumen and nous would not say that it will make money from the off. We would have to look at around 5 years, in my experience, to build up a customer base and to service it before we could really look at sustainability
Who are these potential investors ? Why would they want to buy from the same people who valued a then L2 outfit at the same price as premier league Aston Villa ?
Can you see my difficulty in just blindly believing a word said from the same people who have made mistake after mistake and error after error ? The fact is that this board, in particular this chairman, have led us into the abyss and have shown themselves unable to lead a project or team successfully. The same people who had fans taken to Whaddon road to pick seats I may add. I'm sorry but I cannot just believe what is said by them given the appalling track record of bumbling through on the hope of luck and chemistry. It's up to you what you wish to believe but I have no confidence whatsoever in them. Everything at the club is undisclosed, the fans are not communicated with and locked out of forums for spurious reasons and yet they feel we should trust the little that they do tell us.
Hey, I hope to be proved very wrong but, based upon the previous results of this board, I just don't trust anything they say and I could go on to give many more examples of their ineptitude. I truly fear for our very existence if we do not get out of the conference in two seasons.
