If you mean this seriously then fair play to you. I did mean it,Yesterdays showing was like a new dawning.I never saw the last 2 away matches, but if we can carry on in yesterdays form, then there is no telling what could happen. It was 4th division football for the purist. In that,I mean that the performance would not have been out of place in a much higher league. We played football, bloody good football as well.I haven't enjoyed a match like that for quite a while.Instead of setting the team out to worry about the others,we let them worry about us,and God were they concerned? I have passed judgment on Clarke, mainly because of his failings, and now I see there may be a manager in there somewhere, its still early days and lets just hope that his tactics from yesterday can be carried on. you passed judgment on DC's failings? ? What that he didn't win automatic promotion or that we haven't won't all of our games this season? I take it you passed judgment on Taylor for his inability to score 25 goals last season?

I didn't start this thread to engage in a dispute.I have said all I have to say about Clarke since the day HE took us down. Instead of trying to have a pop, just accept, that at long last I am beginning to see some seeds of improvement.

So the whole of last season counts for nothing, and you are only now seeing some 'seeds of improvement' !! Jesus it is clear you are the clueless one.

TBF I'm liking the new tbonegas...I mean you're still wrong for a large part of this post, but hey-ho... "...then there is no telling what could happen..." Most of us noticed this from late-Autumn last year... "...We played football, bloody good football as well..." correct, but we did that quite a lot last season - not good enough to beat Barcelona, but we were playing the likes of Braintree so it's a level playing field... (except at Halifax, Dartford etc where it was a very uneven playing field...) "...I haven't enjoyed a match like that for quite a while..." yeah, I didn't enjoy Forest Green (twice) or Grimsby at all...to be honest, I was more worried when Barnet got one back that they'd be lucky and/or con their way to an equaliser, or even a winner. "...Instead of setting the team out to worry about the others,we let them worry about us,and God were they concerned?" The *biggest* failing under the season where John Ward got us relegated (the one you blame on DC) was that we never even tried to adapt to the opposition. Too often it was "pick O'Toole, pick 10 other players to play around him and hope he pops up with a late equaliser..." After seeing DC's selections last season and at the start of this I think he's pretty good at picking a team to play to our plus points but also to nullify our opponents strengths...and his tactical changes during the game on Saturday proved that. "...its still early days..." get on board...most of us were on board by Oct/Nov last season. The man can win football games. He can win them with class, he can win them with grit and occasionally he wins them with luck. He's built a team that play for each other, that play for the club (the fans), that play for him, that play for their own pride. On different days in different games they need different strengths to figure out how to win three points, but he's giving them the tools to do that in different ways... I'd respect you more if you reassessed his performance last season - change one result in the first three (where he was obviously still finding his managerial feet) and we would have been champions...instead he had to chase down Martin Allen's (a proven manager at that level) Barnet, and only missed out by a whisker.... If the game on Saturday changed your opinion of him, that's good...but look back and see it wasn't just a random 90 minutes that got us to this point, it was the season you spent criticising him and individuals that got him/them/us to this point...
