A ted ' mate ' of mine said he seen a thing on OTIB saying that we have made a banner saying ' shove your bt sport up your arse ' ready for the Oxford game in front of the cameras. Any truth in this or are they just trying to take the attention away from them scrapping each other at every home game?

Sure you don't mean "You can stick your Bristol Sport up your ass"? www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/topic/171875-you-can-stick-your-bristol-sport-up-your/sh** banter either way.

I want to know what their "Forever Bristol" promotion is really all about, apart from £5 off matchday tickets for a year.
It's not forever and it's not for Bristol. It's for a biggish rugby club and a smallish football club.

I love that they're on a website named after us, making up something about us, so they can have a long thread talking about us, complaining that we're obsessed with them.
Reminds me of this psycho ex-girlfriend.

It's amazing it took around 20 posts before a poster question whether we'd use such a banner, are they all that thick/gullible not to realise it's nonsense?

Makes me laugh how they chat about this new stadium, there in the championship and can't even fill the 3 sides they got now! Empty seats there every game, minus the regular 1,500 away fans there getting about 13,000. #tinpotchampionshipclub. See you in league one next season scum.

It's for a biggish rugby club and a smallish football club. The strange thing is (when you think about it) it means their matchday tickets are deliberately overpriced by nearly £5, and their merchandise and food/drink is deliberately overpriced by 5%. The commitment in becoming a 'Forever Bristol' member is nothing like becoming a Season Ticket holder. They must be doing it just to get marketing details but it means any casual supporters who aren't 'Forever Bristol' members (or don't want to be) are just being fleeced even more during the matchday experience... *edit* now I think about it, I assume it means away fans are technically being fleeced for £5/ticket and 5% on their food and drink as they won't be 'Forever Bristol'...

I don't think they have a licence for full capacity at the moment, something to do with H&S.

I live in bedminster and im building an extension in Ashton at the moment and the thing that's stood out to me is the lack of mention of BCFC 82 at the new burgundy and white Bristol Sport stadium ( not shithead red) and their advert hordings that are up and around the main streets in the area mention function rooms grill bars etc and no mention again of bcfc 82. I went on the Bristol sport website out of interest and again on the main page no mention of them , in fact under " next event" it said " home to Burnley" but not C##y v burnley.
Perhaps a name change is on the cards ...again ??!!
I'm having fun winding the 82 ers I know up and they don't really seem that excited about the whole Bristol Sport thing and the fact they've lost their identity.
We might be aN old fashioned club in an old fashioned stadium but that's one of things I love about our club.
I never wanted to move to the UWE I just didn't want our board to put our club in jeopardy chasing it which unfortunately they have but hey ho at least we're not City.

in fairness tho they're doing pretty good last few seasons i'd settle for their 'tinpotchampionshipclubness' I dunno who called them a tin pot championship club but what I meant by my post is I wouldn't swap our situation for there's. I honestly think that DC will take us to league 1 if not this season then next and I can see 82 getting relegated if not this season then next. I love our club and our crappy stadium and our small but passionate support creates more atmosphere than the other lot in their stadium and sheeds I know have admitted as much.. UTG

UTG Aye agreed regards DC but for any substantial efforts weez will need tae invest huge and thats only cumin from outside (new investment) and a new stadia in which case we're gonna be similars tae them as for more passionate support if weez bin honest weez no better or worse than they Jez imo tho

in fairness tho they're doing pretty good last few seasons i'd settle for their 'tinpotchampionshipclubness' By the standards they've set themselves they've done OK once in the last five seasons. About the same as us. Would I like to be where they are? Yes. Do I want to get there the way they have? No.
