Notts County mean only one thing to me, Leyland Daft semi-final. I can still picture us walking from the ground singing "wemberlyy wemberlyy". In those days playing on that turf meant the world, pre Wembley play off days. Actually two things, some of there boys having a go outside the forest main pub on the other side of the trent about 1973. Can't remember what the pub was called,it was on the corner next to the bridge. Anybody remember the name.

They are a nothing club, it's forest who matter around that way. They will never go anywhere accept down. Forest on the other hand got better stadium better set up better fans. County are just a poor excuse and live in their neighbours shadows and will for ever. ummm at the risk of getting hammered, the last couple of lines can be very much applied to us.

I do love a good old irrational rivalry.

I remember sitting in the stand with blue seats near the corner at twerton. Back then that area was mixed I was only like 6 or 7, sat next to us on the opposite side of the aisle was a notts county boy of similar age. He would growl at me every time we nearly scored, so I bit the end of my pen off and chewed the corner of my season ticket just so I could shoot spit balls in his face. He had em all stuck over the hood of his coat.

We all know the best way to shut them up. Kidnap their close family and send them a series of increasingly grotesque body parts? Blimey! I'll try not to upset you.

ummm at the risk of getting hammered, the last couple of lines can be very much applied to us. It all can. Not true. Our fans are much louder and much more supportive than 82s They don't support they only make noise when they've scored. Yes their stadium is bigger but it looks like kids Lego from various different toys thrown together and the atmosphere most of the time is terrible I've been told by many Sh1!heads. Our blackthorn end is louder than any of their stands.

I do love a good old irrational rivalry. There is absolutely nothing irrational about our dislike for them. On the contrary, it's arguably more rational than any other rivalry we have, with the exception of the 82ers.

I remember walking away from meadow lane feeling highly agitated with the injustice of their unsporting behaviour. Witnessed some instant justice, being handed out to overexubriant miscreants in the surrounding streets. Time is a great healer, and occasionally nearly a whole day passes before i relive that tempus horribillis. I want to like Notts County,i feel we have much in common with them. We understand the pain of living in the shadow of a massive club that was once "kings of europe".

They are a nothing club, it's forrest who matter around that way. They will never go anywhere accept down. Forrest on the other hand got better stadium better set up better fans. County are just a poor excuse and live in their neighbours shadows and will for ever. And said without any irony.... Perfectly delivered, Hugo, removing the head while leaving the man standing. However - I don't think the Franchise quite compare with Nottingham Forest! I believe their claim to glory is once losing a Cup Final in the Edwardian era; imagine living with a team that's been champions of Europe - twice.

Cheating scum, they obviously didn't fancy it . Was a bloody long drive for a midweek match and to cancel that close to kick off still irks to this day. Ha ha! I did the same trip and before that a trip to Wigan when match called off at 2:55!!! Our driver wasn't happy!!! I was at Wigan that day too.

To be fair though, we are only in City's shadow because they are owned by a billionaire. It hasn't always been the case, and I am certain we will be competing with them again soon. Cunty on the other hand have always been the sh**e of Nottingham and have always been small fry to their nearest neighbours. Cunty have never had a rivalry with, and have always been irrelevant to Forest.

Punching above our weight and still beating them on the pitch despite all our disadvantages. I cant remember a time when we could honestly say we were equals with them which was why beating them so often back then was so sweet.

We were better than them pretty much throughout the whole of the 80's and a lot of the 90's in my lifetime. Until recently they had never been more than a division above us. We have had many better sides than them in our history. You cannot compare it to Forest and Cunty.

I was at pains to say we beat them on the pitch regularly but off the pitch its been a very long time since we were anywhere near them. When was the last time we were in a higher league than them too for that matter?

I still don't think you can compare the two Forest are a club you have won 2 European Cups and Top Tier league titles, and have been as much as 4 Divisions above Cunty. The only times City have been considerably better than us is when they bankrupted themselves in order to get to the top flight for a few years and we all know what happened there, and now that they have a billionaire sugar daddy bankrolling them.

They were at it again last night. In the first half play was stopped for an injury to one of their players and Nicholls drove the ball the length of the pitch to their keeper who acknowledged the gesture with a wave.
In the second half the game was halted just outside their penalty area when we were in posession as one of their players was down. When the ref restarted the game he dropped the all to our player who sportingly passed it to a County player. Instead of passing it back to Nicholls he kicked it out for a throw in deep on our half then waved the rest of his team forward to press and contest the ball from the throw in.
Cheating unsporting Northern C@nts.
