The January transfer window could make or break our promotion bid, keep Taylor & Lockyer and make a few good additions and anything could happen, lose them two and sign another couple of Mantano type players and any promotion chance could be gone.

Reckon we're gonna win the league. If we can beat Dagenham & Redbridge we can take on the world!

Now that Matty Taylor is back on song and he will get 15+ goals we will finish top 7-10 no problems How many did he score today?

Two places above Barnet was my target coming into the season - delighted with win last Saturday but agony to watch after York went 0-1 up but this week a brlliant and convincing win - so looking forward to shouting the turkey off on Boxing Day - local game for us - will cycle! Play-ofs my upper target, automatatic is dream-land and could be playing the south Bristol tossers!

Apart from last year I would assume 07?? Yep, that sound's about right. "IF" we do it this season that'll be 9 years..! I think it was the last time would have been 2009, the year Richie Lambert scored 28 or 29 goals I think our gd was +18 that year.

I must admit this is the best team / confidence since Ian Holloway and think we will go up !! We have a brilliant manager UTG Why do people praise Ian Holloways team so much? What did we ever win when he was manager before he instigated his own sacking to move on to qpr and leave us with 40 plus pros on the books

I'm beginning to feel optimistic about this season BUT we need a GOALKEEPER asap and TAYLOR to stay !!!

I would be inclined to agree. Don't see Lockyer going, Taylor is very possible though. If we did sell Taylor then I would hope the board would back DC with the required funds. Let's also not forgot that others clubs around us could lose players. Accrington are likely to lose Windass for example.

As a manager he was still raw - but he signed some amazing players - Hayles, Roberts , Ellington - he was showing great potential but it just didn't quite come off with us.

Then we lost 9 from 11 and tumbled from 2nd to 8th losing to already relegated Cardiff in the final game. Holloway got stitched up.

We have a brilliant manager UTG Whilst I still regard the trio of Holloway /Penrice / Everson as being the best set up in my era of watching the gas the fact DC has had to pretty much run the whole show without the talented staff of Holloway makes that an even more remarkable achievement.

Higher level though and he did bring in some of the best players to wear the quaters. Was a fantastic time to be a gashead.
