By far the worst team to visit the Mem this season. Barnet were much, much worse. Notts actually had a bit of promise against us in the second half.

Notts County barely attempted to get out of their own half. Even when they had the ball and passed around a bit they did sod all with it.

every season quite a few league 1 and 2 clubs lose to non league so it dosnt even seem much of a shock nowadays. i remember rovers beating a strong newcastle united team in the league cup about 1972 in an era where we had a couple of good cup runs and played and beat some higher league teams.

I saw us lose to Kettering 2-1 up there a few years ago. I was also at VS Rugby when we went 1-0 down. Only about 10 minutes to play I think. We scored not long after they did and won the repay easily. I was at PNE for the FA cup tie. We hadn't won all season. Went 4-0 up at half time. watered down with rain and we thought the game would be called off. Hung on for a 4-3 win. No wonder I've got high blood pressure. Are you sure it was Preston,i recall the same thing but I thought it was Burnley, but the grey cells are getting old

FA Cup 3rd round tie at Eastville 1985/6. Rovers were in the 3rd division at the time and beat 1st division Leicester City 3-1. I was bouncing in the tote. The very one I was thinking of

Winning 3-1 at Derby in 2002 would be a great 'cupset' for me. Didn't the Duke get a hat trick in that?

Jefferson Louis scores a penalty for Wealdstone to make it 1-1 against Colchester.
The word 'legend' gets banded about a lot these days, but...

Team was Nicholls (Ron). Bamford Alcock Pitt Hale Sampson Petherbridge Biggs Bradford Meyer Hooper. Goals from Biggs 2 Meyer and Bradford.Attendance of 35000 plus. What we would give for an attendance like that and a strike force like that as well

Biggest Rovers crowd I have ever been in was in the League Cup v Stoke in the 60s. Lost 4-2 but I think there were just over 34000 there.
