Surely the Board will learn that to fill the bench with Youth team players will only guarantee that we will fail to even finish this season in a play off position. To wait until Smiths move is negotiated is ridiculous. We need another centre half AND put it that way we need cover at full back as well. Higgins and Turley will not hang around for too long and we will end up losing out on all counts as Smith will no doubt go. WE also still need two midfielders (or wingers) and another striker (2 if Brunt is not fit). Speculate to accumulate because failure top do so will result in a poor start and if that occurs the attendances will go down. Correct Managing of the situation NOW can bring a successful start and if that occurs we can maintain last seasons attendances. People will attend to watch a successful side whether it be League 1,2 or the Conference. Agree with this 100%. Turley already has interest from other clubs ,and he will get snapped up no problem .We should sign both players now and if Smith stays ,then we got ourselves a right winger. We have not spent a penny yet and taking into consideration the lambert and Santos money we will be getting it is the least our board can do to justify our intentions.

DC said he hasn't signed because he will have to pass medicals and currently has a broken arm I know this already ,but a broken arm won't stop his playing career only hinder his training and fitness levels for a few weeks. Seeing further through this they are probably trying to budget wages, which is fair enough, but we need to look at the broader picture here.

What is it with some of our signings, would you buy a donkey with broken bones in the hope that it may come good sometime after its use was required

I can't understand the Turley situation as why enter into talks with him then say we can't sign him until he recovers from his broken arm, it's not as if he's only just broke it!
Why was DC interested in signing Trotman on Saturday but then didn't play him on Tuesday then saying he was no longer interested in signing him, nor Thompson for that matter.
Are we so short of money we can only sign any further players if Smith's transfer goes though?

It is hilarious. To even consider the possibility that we will pay a fee for a player is hilarious. We hardly did in the league so why are we going to start now. In fact I can't remember the last time we paid for a player. We're about to get almost quarter of a million from the sale of our right-back. Really not that impossible. Told you we won't pay a fee for a player hence getting someone like Martin on the cheap!

Both left footed and too slow. Both are slow yes, but both read the game pretty well. If we are playing three at the back with Lockyer, he gives us that element of energy needed to cover that. Parkes is a lot better than people give him credit for imo. Cuts out attacks before they even develop. I think we are bringing in Turley as a RB, I wouldn't want to upset the pairing that has been solid (at home). Still think it is a solid pairing and work together well?!

Quick question ... are we likely to be bringing in any new signings (permanent or on loan) next week?
