Just under 6,000 for a Tuesday night game is bloody good!! You obviously didn't go to Eastville or Twerton on a Saturday when the Rovers were in the old division two with just over 5,000 there n many occasions. Its just a shame the budget is not reflected by the attendances.

I mentioned that the crowd on Tuesday was the first below 6,000 and of course after that terrible performance and result crowds COULD well go down more, right ? For the record have been going to Rovers games since 1973 so yeah remember and have attended some lower crowds. Support now is VERY good while the situation at the club looks very dire - high and growing debt, loans, no takeover, no NEW stadium ..........

On a recent Sunday Supplement on Sky 1, a journalist indicated that a Premiership league teams position usually matches up to their revenue/crowd.
Clearly it does not apply in our division with Accrington Stanley.

Gates drop across the division on Champions League nights. Ours normally falls by around a 1,000. We should get between 6 and 7,000, not 5 something. But the FL will no doubt carry on arranging a full list of fixtures on CL nights anyway as they seem to be in denial, as do some fans :-)

Perhaps it does this sweason and not the usual 9,500 NH/TW apparently set the budget on?? it would be interesting if we had Div 1 stats as well as I see even Doncaster had far less than we did on Tuesday evening.

The rovers are too well supported by us decent fans imo. Perhaps that's why some supporters are disappointed when 4,000 turn up for a paint pot trophy or league cup first round match. But to get gates of around 4,500/5,000 would still be excellent in this division.
