You ought to pop into Sainsbo's whie you're there and ask if they'd be interested in stocking a few copies of it. After all, they're one of the reasons we were in the Conference in the first place.

ok, being serious, if anyone did order it from me and you haven't yet received it (and you don't live in Outer Mongolia, a sheed hole like Bedminster - I'm not going South of the river mush, or ordered it in the last week or so) then please give me a shout and I'll look into it for you. Any feedback on the book / my service will be also be happily received as it is such a new book. Finally, feel free to leave a review on Amazon or any other review sites if you wish - I realise you most probably didn't buy it on Amazon, but you are still allowed to leave reviews on there, on this page. Sadly a lot of people put great emphasis on reviews and if I don't have any it makes it harder to get people to experience the book. Absolutely up to you what you write; no bribes for good reviews Finally, apologies if I didn't manage to individually email you when you ordered. December was a complete blur, working all hours to get two books out. I did get all orders out quickly I believe, but the personal touch did occassionally suffer. take care and UTG DC is God and The Beard is his Son Martin

Martin
I finished it yesterday, at a couple of games a day, and it was a great read. It was like replaying the season all over again with the Nostradamus-like benefit of knowing the happy end result.
If I could offer a couple of minor criticisms:
- the definition of the photos, good though they were, was a bit low-res.
- there were several typos throughout.

If I could offer a couple of minor criticisms: - the definition of the photos, good though they were, was a bit low-res. - there were several typos throughout. Thanks for the honest comments mate - re photos - some were supplied to me at low-res, and try as I might they couldn't supply me with better, partly because they were regular, average fans, rather than serious photographers (although there are a couple of people in there who i think are decent photographers...). TBH the main issue was probably more to do with them looking great on a bigger screen, but then a bit cramped when printed on an A5 page. I also wanted to increase the number of photo pages / spread them out a bit, but when push came to shove late in the day I found that the only way i could get the print bill down to an even vaguely palatable price was to actually lose 8 pages, not add 8 pages! That was hard to take, but it was that or scrap the project just before it was finished. After doing publishing for 9 years and selling almost 70,000 books I'm still learning re printing, and used every trick in the book to get the cost per book down, but the bottom line is that short run books, printed in Wales (NOT China) are never going to be economically very viable so something had to give. Sadly it was some of the photos / the size. - re typos - I spotted a couple after the printing started (extra annoying) but happy for you to pass any more onto me. I may do an electronic version at some point so any amendments will be worthwhile.

If I could offer a couple of minor criticisms: - the definition of the photos, good though they were, was a bit low-res. - there were several typos throughout. You know,I initially thought that about the photos too but there was something of the conference about the pics and the book in general which in many ways would have made hi def pics feel out of place. It feels and reads like a personal project, kind of like an old school fanzine with a kind of rural charm. It is in good keeping with our season out of the football league. I hope that's not insulting to you MM, I mean it as a compliment.

Just purchased a copy as a post Xmas treat for myself Same here and have now finished reading it. It really is an excellent read, very well and thoughtfully written. Great souvenir of an unexpectedly exciting season and well worth purchasing a copy. UTG BDTR

I had a copy for Christmas, #99, picked it up at 1400ish and didn't put it down until I'd finished it at around 2200. I left it thinking I had written it, so close were the views to my own.
The pictures add to the overall 'ragbag' appeal of being a rovers fan. I can live with a few tipoes.......tidepools....doh....typo's.

Thanks for the positivity. it sounds like my favourite book, 'The History of Glue'. I couldn't put that down for weeks.

If you could get these on a kindle Id be all over them. I have a bit of an eye problem see and do most of my reading on electronic devices these days. Saves having to use the Sherlock style magnifying glass. The hat is nice though.
