I wonder how influential Stewart is. You seldom see him in deep conversation with DC, and it is Steve Yates who always seems to be to the fore. Just going by what I see I wouldn't be surprised if Stewart sought a job elsewhere. Of course, I could be wide of the mark................................ He carries the register. Listening to the DC interview driving home from the match last night I thought, more by what he didn't say, that he thinks MS will be going to Yeovil as their new manager. It's always difficult to know what influence a number two (cue juvenile lavatory humour) has until they've gone. In particular I'm thinking of Dennis Booth, and how useless we were under that idiot Ward after he'd gone, and also the nosedive after Lawrence was "removed" to give Mr Personality a straight run at the job. we'll only know how good MS was after he's gone.

I wouldn't read too much into it. I think he's just in a difficult position where he doesn't want to lose Marcus but also will be aware that Marcus wants to be a manager so won't want to upset him. It was a difficult question for DC.

DC doesn't like to praise individuals too much anyway.

Think it would be foolish if he went there they are in free fall and can't imagine they got a lot of money to make a real difference in jan I think he is being primed to take over from dc when someone has nicked him off us,anyone can see how far he has taken us from being a load of sh**e to watch to a good footballing side the way it should be played Great to watch Utg

Seems a poison chalice to me for anybody inexperienced, as what's the betting if anyone takes them down they'll then get the sack in the summer?
If I was Yeovil I'd go for somebody like Richard Mooney, not someone learning about managing a club.

They'll have re-paint the managers office now Sturrock has gone. He had it painted orange in honour of Aberdeen who he played for under Alex Ferguson in their glory years.
No doubt the handyman is down at B&Q as we speak, buying a couple of cans of that horrible bile green colour paint to do the job.
I really dislike Yeovile, the photo of that peasant fan holding up that message a couple of seasons ago really wound me up. I so hope. He comes to the Mem this season, we could have him standing in the centre circle before the kick off so we could spend a few minutes ridiculing him.

Marcus is the favourite to take the job currently. I would hate to see him go to them as I don't think even Tony Pulis could keep them up!

Interesting the Ward and Holloway are both linked with the job, looks like someone with a rovers connection will lead Yeovil into non league

I think Marcus will make a good manager. Every time I have heard him speak he seems to talk a lot of sense. I wish it isn't with Yeovil but we have forgiven him for his love of the 82ers for all these years so sure we will get over this.
Whilst I would be disappointed if Stewie left I wonder if we can get Mikey Harris down here. He is youth team coach at Pompey at the moment and may want another crack at being a number 2 with his best mate. If there is a chance then he could share a taxi down with Tubbs who is widely rumored to be joining us?
