The latest Stevie C interview has been played out on Radio Bristol only an hour after the final whistle of their 4-0 drubbing at Burnley.
Some absolute belters in this one in fact his best yet I would say.
City were apparently the best team for the majority of the game.
His group of players are fantastic and he doesn't want to go upsetting them by bringing any new players in in January.
All of their players would have got into the Burnley team!
This really is brilliant stuff, he's a genius and I can see right through his game plan.
He would be found out however if Radio Bristol could get him to clarify a bit though. Like the point about all of his players being able to get in the Burnley team ;
"So Stevie you mean if all your players were playing for them and theirs for you, the score would have been exactly the same?
If true you can see what he's really saying can't you? Yep,the mans either a complete an utter buffoon, and complete and utter buffoons are rare or he's trying to get sacked with some nice compo.

Comedy Steve. A real gem on the radio. Dismals "stupid question" rant was awesome but Comedy Steve is consistent.

They would be foolish to dispense with his services. He is doing a grand job. His team is clearly outplaying all the opposing teams. It will turn soon. About the end of May , I reckon.

Their hole of a forum is pretty entertaining right now, not that I particularly thrive off people's misery, there really is a lot of hate there though..

Only Colchester have a worse GD than City and Charlton in all four divisions! You'll need a ST next season to be sure of getting in to the local Bristol derbies!

"It's the step up but I stand by my players they are great to work with". I do not normally comment on the dark side but it was hilarious listening to him on the radio, real entrainment. Some bloke came on the radio and was having a pop at Landsdown and stating their death star will be be third full next season, oh dear. May the force be against you.

The caller referred to games against Rochdale & Crewe but failed to mention it'll be sold out when they play Rovers!!

Definitely an "it's me, not them. Please sack me". Falling on his sword I'd say. Shame, he is the best chance we have of a local derby before August 2017

A select few of their fans reckon they're able to attract the likes of Nige Pearson, Moyesy, or Tim Sherwood??
But more realistically Neil Warnock, a horrible ugly bloke for a horrible ugly club I guess

It's no wonder c"ty are sh"t , when there manager must Spend more time coming up with these classic gold excuses than he does coaching his squad. Really hope Lansdown and co keep faith in this clown he's doing a great job .... UTG

I'm going to say it quietly, because the current situation is fantastic to see. But, speaking honestly...
Cotterill is a failure at that level, and his time with Burnley/Forest confirms this. I can't see that turning around at Bristol Sport. They were very naive in the summer to believe that they were one striker away from promotion to the Premier League. The squad they have their needs a few more than that, and you can acquire many good players for far less than they were prepared to pay for Gayle/Gray. They blame budgets, yet have £9 million hanging around for a striker, whilst teams like Preston and Rotherham are outside of the relegation zone and actually have a right to moan about Championship budgets.
The best bit is that a lot of their fans still believe in Cotterill, and even more so the stuff he comes out with. 'We were the better side' is a great one, and the caller who suggested 'the difference between us and promotion is a £9 million striker'. A lot of them still want to keep the man. Gold.
I dread to see the day they wake up, because with a good manager and a few new faces in January they should stay up ahead of Bolton, Charlton and a couple of others. They could have got Pearson if they'd sacked Cotterill early, I can't see that happening now. The later they leave it, the worse the options will be.

Bristol Sport fans only a few months ago were walking in a Cotterill wonderland and they were getting lob ons when he was 'giving them a wave'.. Good to see he's still so highly thought of.

City were apparently the best team for the majority of the game. The stats seem to indicate a pretty even match, Gotta hurt! The Sky hi-lights showed about 8 attempts by Burnley and none by City. They showed a few seconds of city with the ball, but that was only so they could show the whole of one of Burnley's flowing counter attacks.

As @hugotheelder said in the car on the way home, if all the city team walked into the burnley team as Cotterell suggested, they'd be bcfc82 and we've seen how sh** they are!
Comedy gold every week!
