Give Rovers as few as we're allowed to. Charge our own fans extra to make up for lost revenue. Can't see any problems with that? It would also be fairer; Oxfordshire people are dripping with wealth, Bristolians are slum-dwelling paupers. Our people can afford to pay more, they can save their money for little luxuries, like food Read more: yellowsforum.co.uk/thread/22634/oxford-bristol-rovers?page=10#ixzz3xWpfEHcCWhat a bitter and uninformed thing to say! To be fair he's got us on that one :-(

They weren't anything special. We were the better team and played them at their own game, hitting them on the break. Hold on a moment! That was a gritty display of counter attacking football from us but make no bones Oxford look a decent side and put us under a lot of pressure today. We weathered the storm and their failure to put the finishing touch to some dangerous attacking play cost them dearly in the end.
Bit of payback for the reverse fixture at our place when we had to play with 10 men for most of the game due to a sending off that was later rescinded so I don't feel bad about winning today despite being second best for most of the game. We've played much better than that and lost.
I must admit though their fans seem a bitter bunch of bad losers judging from their forum!
Just because Oxford look decent, why can't I make bones?

Of course BRFC are a horrible horrible team. They had the barefaced audacity to beat self-proclaimed aristocrats of D2, OUFC. & made them look a bit silly in doing so. & OU wasted as much time & benefitted from as many refereeing errors as BRFC. oh, the smug body language after they'd scored, like it was job done. Oh dear!!!! this is the crux of the matter. 1/2 a decent season and some good cup wins and they suddenly are Blackburn or Leeds (geddit? Blackbird leys...ok, I'll get my coat) they've done very little since returning from non-lge. NEVER forget your roots Oxs, and hopefully we also won't be forgetting ours. The humility we had in non-lge went a long way and I hope we keep it.

If someone comes in for roofe then all of a sudden they struggle. Whilst they have a couple other useful players- remove his goals from midfield and I wonder where they would be.
Whilst I also rate lundstrum he benefits from the roofe fear factor.
We're the better team- I'm sure of it.

It seems there's some sensible posters are posting on that thread now, I guess the parents are posting now their kids have gone to play on their Xbox/PS4 after posting as soon as they got home. One which caught my eye "That was a ridiculously good save from Mildenhall" Were we really writing Milders off as past it earlier in the season?? I wasn't... *cough*

I thought that Lundstram was very good - strong in the air and at times he ran the game. I was impressed with him and am sure he will go higher .
Roofe - not so - he was ok in midfield when he had space and time but when he played up front Locks shackled him down and in the end he was forced wide.He will be ok in this division but better defences will find him out. He scored but it wasnt much of a goal and owed as much to the fact that we were still enjoying our half time tea as it did to their skill which brings me onto another point...
When they came out for the second half they went through a structured warming up routine and were buzzing ready to start. We just sauntered out and individuals did their own routines. They started quickly and on the front foot whilst we seemed half asleep. Conicidence??

Moaning about the lack of penalties, I was moaning about the lack of bookings. If it's not a penalty it's simulation.
They were a good side, but due to dogged defending/poor decision making they were beaten by a side working hard for each other- revenge was served IMO
