The pitch will look like a ploughed field by Saturday with all this rain! Surely sooner or later an opponent, the Football League or the FA (not sure who has jurisdiction) will be able to take action if yet another home game is called off...? Morecambe, Hartlepool and York are in a similar geographical area and are not having similar issues and Carlisle obviously had a different problem but found a solution.

It's a huge game, we took about the same to Gateshead. 700 should be the minimum attendance IMO Why is it disgraceful if we don't take more than 700? What if people cant afford to go? Get a better job/put the kids up for adoption.

Apparently Accrington have invested in a water pumping machine. But surely that isn't going to change the pitch having barely any grass on it?

Yeah for anyone not on twitter I saw a guy who I think is their chairman/director or something say he was 95% sure it would be on ... I know there's heavy rain to come but I was surprised how good their pitch is looking from pictures on their official twitter earlier today considering all the weather up there recently
If it's on I'll be there

Less rain forecast than before. Decent chance of the game being played now.

Should be dry from early hours of Saturday morning till Saturday night. Factor in a 40mph wind for drying pitch. All should be ok for a decent game. Think it will go ahead no probs.

The pitch looks good because it has had 5 games less than anyone else's pitch

Are you getting the train from Sheffield? Yes - change at Leeds for Accrington. What time are you getting the train Kivo? I'm on the 9.50 from Sheff, via Leeds.

Im in North wales, at the moment the storm is horrendous, not rain but wind. Ive checked the weather for Sat in Accrington and its not looking good. Once again no rain but very high winds may be a safety factor so be prepared guys

I was thinking exactly the same on my way to work this Morning....If their pitch is not fit for purpose, they should forfeit the game and give the opposing team the points imo..Starting this week..!

Sadly they're the ones with the good ground.
Good luck to all those going , fingers crossed the game goes ahead !
Gaffney and Fallon to lead the line ?? That would be a shocker, wouldn't it ?
