Its pointless just building the UWE then going bust like Darlington though, we need a clear business plan for development, I'm not sure NH ever had one but was just going to rely upon a build it and they will come approach? It could also be the leasehold approach for the land is not the best one for our new owners if they can afford to purchase the land as well. I think we might just have to be patient although I want a new ground for the 2017 season as much as any fan. Yeah, if they need to seriously renegotiate the terms of the UWE with the university, then they only have a few weeks to do it, if we are to start 2017 in a new ground. Our new Chairman has already stated that they have already had several meetings with UWE before they became the new owners. I would have thought they must have gone well for them to proceed with buying the club. |

I would have thought they must have gone well for them to proceed with buying the club. I've missed that interview but that sounds promising, perhaps some deal has been agreed, or at least discussed, about the "strips of land" also being mentioned. Let's hope some announcement about work starting on the UWE is made sooner rather than later. |

I am happy Higgs and co are out the picture but like everyone else we know nothing about the new lot.They are saying all the right things and if they deliver the stadium then who are we to complain? I still hate the idea of flying up the leagues and gaining rapid success on the back of a sugar daddies money as for me any success achieved that way is tainted.
l like the idea of buliding a strong youth system and having a club being run the right way.I really think as a goodwill gesture the new owners should reimburse the fans who paid into the sharescheme.

Hypothetical question...lets be happy with what we've got, give the new owners our full backing and move forward.

If there was another consortium they should have got there act together...their loss imo.
I'm just glad this whole consortium/ITK's/will they won't they episode is over and done with.
Exciting times ahead for a Club that's has the sh** end of the stick for more years than I'd care to remember

We won't know until further down the line. Seems well educated though, with a passion for football, money and he should have good links all over the world, in both business and football. At Chelsea today, being a fan and successful he might have links with the club and they are always loaning players. Represented Fifa, so has to have contacts all over the world.
On paper so far everything points to them being the right owners, but we won't know for sure until we see what happens. I like that he said youth is important and that he would like a good youth set up bringing players through to the first team. Looking to improve us commercial, build a new ground etc.

Imagine if Prince Ali gets the FIFA job then decides to watch a Rovers match in the future. |

To be honest, most people's concerns have already been addressed in words by the owner and chairman. I can't see what more they can do at the moment.
Of course it all relies on their actions, and only until then can we really judge them like this. That might be a few months away for certain things, or 5 years away.
I too will judge them on actions but they've not said anything worrying or put a foot wrong so far.

We will never know the answer, but I am fully embracing them, they have saved us, and I think prudently we move forwards, so that it is sustainable, he will Rev it up when he is fed up of us not finishing off teams, and will see we need a more progressive midfielder and a goalkeeper to replace .Mildy.
He is a football man seems genuine and has a big like ability, seems to have read the script, wore the shirt, kissed the badge, and I hear next game he will be in the Vic wearing stone island, singing stand up if you hate the sh""!

We shouldn't just turn and look away because someone is waving pound notes out the window. I've absolutely no reason not to trust our new owners and I am not knocking them at all, but ..well I have absolutely no reason to trust them either! They must see to it that we are run properly and we must see to it that we ensure they do. |
