James Mcnamara @jpmcnamara7 6m Deal for Jamie Turley getting closer. Personal terms now agreed. Conclusions from one medical report still needed b4 deal can go through .
James Mcnamara @jpmcnamara7 3m Turley was at game last night and Rovers now just need to be certain it won't be too long before he is able to resume full contact training

Fair play, we're being very certain he's gonna be fit enough. Good choice.

Good stuff. Now why couldn't we have conducted this level of fitness tests in the past?.. My guess is that he is still a number of weeks away from match fitness if he hasn't even started contact training yet. Hopefully he is a fit lad though so won't be too far behind on the fitness levels.

I'd rather we sign him now, and he take four to five weeks into the season to heal up and get fit, rather than we leave him, and someone else snatches him up and he plays really well for them. We'd regret that.
People will complain we've signed an injured player, but it's better to have him in the long term, by far. I just hope people see past that.

You're of the same opinion as me, although you can guarantee people will moan whatever happens. I think he's worth the gamble and would love to see him wearing the quarters once fully fit.

No 'arm in that, is there? Do we need another out cast? Fine, as long as he doesn't get plastered during the season.

In his interview yesterday Clark said Turley was going to see our arm specialist, terms have already been agreed & that he was looking to make a decision late Monday or Tuesday morning.
Anyone heard anything?
As there has been no news from the club I'm assuming the injury is going to take too long to heal and the deal is probably off.

I was thinking the same and Turley put a tweet of a picture on saying something along the lines of some things take a year, others a day. Might be unlinked but I thought he might have been told he couldn't play for a while.
