Maybe he'll play 3 at the back more often to fit them all in?

Maybe he'll play 3 at the back more often to fit them all in? I reckon so, for me it would be Trotman, Turley and Lockyer in there. I think MM will leave to be honest, I know he was made captain but he has really struggled this season and since dropping out of the team I think Trotman has done far better. Not 100% convinced with Parkes either so the other 3 for me would be my choice. Great to have Turley and Balanta still to come when fit, could make a big difference when they are ready to go.

would Turley & Trottman be able to play as a unit? Could this be the best centre half pairing since Stuart Taylor & Mike Green in the 70's!

I too struggle to see a way back into the side for MMc except in the case of injuries. Trotman and Lockyer can't/won't be dropped and Parkes has slowly steadied himself at this level alongside a dominant, right footed centre half and is probably a long way ahead of MMc as well. Factor in Turley who is very highly rated and chances will be at a premium for our captain.
I'm not sure if there is anything in the rumour that he'd join the coaching staff but it seems a lot more plausible when you realise he may not make the team much anymore. Will he want to become a coach with a good few years left in him in terms of fitness though? Perhaps a loan would be preferable if he is unhappy not making the match day squad.
Turley would be a great signing for us given the interest he has attracted before and now seemingly after his injury and the fact he wants to join us is very good news. I think he and NT will form a formidable partnership.

Just hope NT keeps up his form once signed permanently as we have had quite a few defenders in the past who have looked good when on loan but disappointed when signed permanently.

With Turley coming in, does this mark the end for McChrystal? With Trotman, Lockyer, Parkes and now Turley as options, I think his days are numbered.

Hopefully no news is good news. They said if the scan went OK he would hopefully sign later in the week. Hopefully he will agree terms and have a medical now the match is out of the way. Always a worry when you hear nothing though.

I have heard, not from anyone reliable mind you, that he didn't have to have a medical. I expect we still weren't satisfied with how his arm had healed. That and more money. Biscuit arm.

We still have four capable CBS at the club and with the form of out current partnership turley could have became a problem. Use the money else where if need be but at the moment I think we are in a good place.

Happy that the board & manager haven't upped the wages or length of contract - a new era?

Just bad that he now has so much knowledge on us. I am waiting on what the club have to say but I am led to believe we wanted more tests. Very frustrating given DC was bugging up the fact of how much he wanted to play for us Go figure eh.
