Who would win out of two badgers and a fox against 5 weasels? That's a trick question. Every one knows that being natural allies the weasels and Fox would team up to defeat the badgers.

What I find more cringeworthy about this whole thread is one person has asked a question and there are THREE pages of the `pack` putting him down! instead of just ignoring it and letting it fall off the face of earth. Unbelievable.

I look into the Al Qadi family over the weekend and I did post it on the BRFC Banter Page on Facebook.
They have assets (from what I gathered) worth well over one Billion however this not taking into consideration the combined Al Qadi personal and private wealth..... so yes I believe they have more financial clout that messrs Lansdown and co.
I also feel that this is not something we should shout to much about, and we should all try to remain humble ( we have only become like this since friday) and it is a little cringeworthy. I' myself initially jumped on the bandwagon too sadly......
But its been great at work and all the teds I work with have been fairly quiet, when they have tried to bait me' a few quick well thought retorts have shut them the F##k up, must say I have really enjoyed that after so many years of their remarks and p**s taking!

although people have poured scorn on this thread the subject is relevant to our club as football is a very expensive business and i just wondered if anyone had accurate information on his actual wealth? lansdown is on the forbes rich list at just under £2 billion so for me its normal to wonder how our guys wealth compares

So if i had to estimate i would say Wael's 'family' are richer than Lansdown and i just about lead the soddin pair of em! ...and to the poster who said only the poor worry about money, well the fact is that actually rich people worry about it a whole lot more that's why they have more of it, hold onto it and increase it however possible.

Found this well written article in the Asian express newspaper ,mentions that the family are pretty wealthy-
Jordanian treasure for League Two Pirates 22/02/2016 15:55Leave a Comment REASON TO CELEBRATE: Bristol Rovers were overtaken by the billionaire Al Qadi family last week REASON TO CELEBRATE: Bristol Rovers were overtaken by the billionaire Al Qadi family last week Investors target promotion at football league club
Bristol Rovers are the latest English club to be snapped up by overseas investors, with the Jordanian Al Qadi family acquiring the League Two outfit.
Mr Wael Al Qadi, who describes himself as a lifelong fan of English football, is already a member of the executive board of the Jordan Football Association. He has now taken up the role of President with The Pirates with immediate effect.
The former Chairman of Swansea City, Steve Hamer - who has played a key role in the deal - will remain with the club as the new Chairman, replacing Nick Higgs, will step down.
Mr Al Qadi, aged 46, and a father of four, was educated at Westminster School and Boston University. His family is rumoured to have a wealth in excess of £1.4billion.
He commented: “I’ve been a passionate football fan all of my life and I'm excited to become involved with Bristol Rovers, which has such an amazing heritage and loyal fan base.
“We really see the potential of this great club. Bristol Rovers has always been known as a family club and it is my family’s wish to maintain that tradition, through our own involvement and commitment.
“Whilst we will be investing in the club, we also want to see the club grow organically and we will be introducing a good recruitment policy, new structure, a new academy system that will produce a flow of players into the first team.
“We believe in a mix of home grown youth and experience to achieve the success this club and the region deserves.”
Hamer added that he was confident the move would be hugely beneficial for the club as they attempt to climb up the football league ladder.
“I truly believe they can deliver the success for the club and its fans, which they deserve,” he said.
“We would like to place on record our thanks and recognition for all the hard work Nick Higgs and his team have done in the past.”
Higgs added: “I sincerely believe that Bristol Rovers can count itself as being very fortunate to attract the interest of Mr Al Qadi and his family.
“This club and the region deserve to have considerably more prominence on the football map.
“The board promised the fans on many occasions that it would only agree to the sale of the club if the right person expressed a serious interest.”

Surely a banks assets are not the banks owners own personal assets? On that basis if NH puts his £1m cheque in NatWest for safe keeping does that make their shareholders £1m wealthier, I don't think so? Apart for the often mentioned "billionaire" owners comments I don't think anybody really has a clue how wealthy the Al-Qadi family actually are, the fact that they bought out HSBC's bank in the middle east suggests they are pretty wealthy, I can't imagine Hargreaves Lansdown doing that type of takeover in the UK?

This debate is largely irrelevant, as rich as lansdown is he has sunk a very small portion of it into city, the al-qadi family are obviously very wealthy although it seems to be difficult to gain any accurate info given the wider spread of business interests. What people seem to be missing is the contacts that wael has throughout world football and the benefits this could bring to the club, especially if/when we start operating at championship level, this could prove far more important in the long run. The club just needs a kick start with the stadium, everything else will stem from that.

Because it's been done to death already, and the announcement was only made 4 days ago. If it comes to light that he is more minted than SL, you can guarantee the ones who keep banging on about it, will only go straight to OTIB and start jizzing all over that place giving it the big one.
