I remember at Christmas thinking - What an amazing away record and genuinely thought Rovers were going to equal or surpass their record of 11 away wins in a season.(of course might still do it).
But since then it has really faltered. W 1 D 1 L 4 and even more worrying - only 3 goals scored in those games. Two of those games were also against teams who had to play with 10 men for long periods.
I've only been to the Pompey game so I know less than many of you, but what struck me in that game was that we were up against it from the kick off - We didn't start the game positively ! It does seem the case in home games too.
Maybe Clarke needs to be more positive from the start but for that you need players who can trouble defences. Give players like Bodin a license to run at teams (preferably on the left) AND a big WISH get somebody on the right wing (right footer) to take them on that side. Gaffney/Taylor and Easter have not been missing many chances - they simply haven't had many to score/waste.
Wonder what others think about our Away form /goal scoring ?
