Ex Sheed Scott Brown is in line to face the gas after signing for Grismby in the summer. He will be wearing the number 4 shirt and is looking forward to a singalong.

Whats the point of this tread? Get a life ggmi, time all this hatedred for the other team south of the river stopped. This is boring and does nothing for the support of our team!

Sorry meader, but I'm with ggmi on this one, as I think it does do something for the support of our team. We have to continue to make the Mem an intimidating atmosphere for opposition players - some at this level are not going to be used to it at all. If there happens to be an ex-city player amongst them, then it provides a focus for that intimidation (knowing that it is all part of the game).

As much as I wonder what singing about City achieves sometimes, initimidating opposition players is good. I remember Myrie-Williams (spelling?) having to be subbed at half time a few years back as it got to him so much. Even in the pre season game at Yeovil the away fans wound up their winger so much it obviously effected his game.

Hope we completely rip the sh** into him! I know I will be, I've felt even more hatred towards them more than I normally do lately!

Or so I'm led to believe.

I think he was a trialist and we were destroying his chances of gainful employment!

It never seemed to affect him but it always felt great singing it at Bas Savage. Once went on continuously for about 15 minutes a few years ago.

I always enjoyed singing at Torpey although I do remember him scoring in a Scunthorpe win at the Mem so i'm not sure it affected him. You learn a lot about a player when they receive a load of stick. Some players rise to it and use it to their advantage like Beckham used to for Man Utd after 98. Scott Murray always took it in good spirit when we faced him and he actually gained a bit of respect for that.
