There's been a few threads about songs this week. We've always sung "irene goodnight", but I'm sure we used to have more in our repertoire than we do now.
My memory is vague these days, but I do remember the Molly Malone one that was mentioned on a thread the other day.
At Twerton, we had a song about the old HTV sports presenter Roger Malone - "We all agree, Roger Malone da da dada". I even remember t-shirts with a picture and the lyrics to that one on them!
Anyway, anyone got any forgotten terrace songs they'd like to hear us sing again?

Goodnight Irene was sung once a game, sometimes not at all,now its ten or fifteen times a game. My favourite back in the day was Knees up mother Brown. Also Chants like 'the Rovers' or 'your gunna get your ******* heads kicked in'...happy days. My old man and The red red robin are good to.

Should have built a wall Should have built a wall Should have built a wall not a Bridge.
(To the Welsh teams)
You're gonna get your Dam heads kicked in.
(Every time the oppo scored!)
I O I O we are the Rovers Boys And if you are a City fan surrender or you'll die Because we all follow the Rovers.

Irene was sang sparingly and always it started with the first verse We are Rovers Supporters We are faithful and true We always follow the boys in blue (and white) We all made a promise That we'll never part So Goodnight Irene I'll see you in my dreams.

The trouble with that verse, is that it's not actually a verse, coz it doesn't scan with the rest of the song. Which is why, I would think, we have problems with that last line. A more scanning verse, as an example, would be something like We are the rovers supporters We are all faithful and true We'll blah duh de dah duh de dah dah And follow the boys in blue.
