BRFC already own a stadium, so UWE is not about just owning a stadium . After all with some slight shifting around the mem could be made a nice 15,-18,000 stadium. Which if you were gifting money would be a cheaper option. That size capacity is fine for any league two,one or championship club. That's the limits though ,it will be interesting to see what Bournemouth do . The mantra has always been to find a self financing and self supporting stadium. So the club never again have to worry about stadium problems.Stadiums are not cheap to run so it is important that income streams are in place to raise this money comfortably each season regardless of league or form. You don't make money by giving it away . If you have a project you want to complete you get other people to finance it and use other people to pay them and other people to pay them. The AL Qadi family are still growing their business' they will not want to have a dead weight holding them back. The BRFC acquisition is part of their growing portfolio it will be run as a break even/profit business which is why the emphasise has been placed on from the grassroots up.A reason why Mr Hamer mentions they sought a club they could completely mould not one that had long standing things in place. They will NEVER develop the mem Crap transport links Crap parking Crap local Council Crap locals Crap Local Pubs Crap Local Business owners Time to bulldoze the festering pit of a stadium and move into something more suitable for a championship team

They still never committed to building UWE. They have always said "a stadium" will be built. I guess UWE is the obvious answer as there has been a lot of work already done. But if all the stuff about match day income is true the. UWE is no longer a good option. We are in a totally different position now. Did I dream the bit then about them seriously trying to get the car park built at the UWE by September? Apart from a few ITK's giving out the usual random nonsense there's not been any suggestions whatsoever the UWE will not be built.

Just watching it now, and I've got to say I didn't know he had such a footballing history, thought he was more of just a businessman.
The bit where he talks about 'funders' to me says that they are already in place and ready to go.

You wont have to worry about judging the local pubs at the uwe site...there are none. The only downside with the uwe stadium is hardly any people will be able to walk there ,the only bonus of stadia in urban areas. Also dont imagine lovely clear roads to and from the ground queues will be the norm . public transport WILL have to be the future preferred way of arriving.BRFC just has to help make this a positive experience...not a crappy half hour wait on a freezing bus stop experience. Im guessing though Wael wont be knocking on your door soon to become a community liason officer haha !

Personally, I thought he simply acknowledged that the car park had to be constructed by a certain date. I really hope UWE does go ahead.

The reason they came here amongst many was that we had planning permission at the UWE. What Wael didn't know at the time of the takeover was that he would be shocked (his word) during talks at UWE on the day of the Hartlepool fixture, at some of the revelations disclosed. I assume he means what had been agreed under the previous regime. I just hope these issues can be resolved, otherwise as previously suggested, it could take years to find an alternative site. But it cant be UWE at any cost. Surely they would have looked into that, before buying the club?? They said they were in talks with Uwe before buying the club, they seem professional. So surely they would have asked about the details, or what were the meetings about??? They keep praising the old board and the work they did with Uwe. But some on here still try and make everything they did seem bad.
