Dinsdale, you really do make me laugh, you think you and your friends on the other boards are far superior and know more than any other person. It's like reading a 1970's union leader in action, very dated !

Guys to clarify, Brian didn't mention electioneering at all. He seemed wary but that was my word, not his. X

A PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM BRIAN SEYMOUR-SMITH Dear Friend I am asking for your support to be returned as a Supporters Club Director on the Board of Bristol Rovers FC.

My point is that he SHOULD be electioneering! Rod is, why shouldnt Brian? Both candidates should put themselves out to be challenged/agreed with so SC members can decide.

Like Chisel I've just looked at the BSS thread on the IF,sums up the reason why I am so glad gaschat started up. No problem with people against BSS,but the posts(95%)are extreme and in my opinion unfair, and typifies why so many fans find the IF not for them. On the IF the BSS thread has 69 replies ... i'd say from aprox 20 or so posters... about 3-5 are a bit strong in there criticism of BSS (no where near the 95% you quote) most are critical of the role rather than the person, i really dont understand why people seem so hell bent on placing a divide between the forums ... WE ARE ALL GASHEADS we have many differing views on allsorts of subjects, the IF can be Negative to some and without doubt some posters have been affected by actions of the club that directly involved themselves so its un surprising these people have strong negative actions/words towards some parts of BRFC, thats their view and they are entitled to air their views , the problem with forums is that the written word can too easily be interpreted to take the meaning of the person reading the words rather that the way the person writing them means for them to come across. My point is some people insist the IF forum has an agenda of sorts ... it really doesnt , its just a load of fans airing their views (yes often quite negative (we have been a bit rubbish as a club so not surprising) . the real shame is that people seem intent on creating divides amongst the fans and the 2 forums when their doesnt need to be. If you dont agree with someones view thats fine argue your point if needs be , ignore the threads if thats better but dont brand a 95% of a Threads posters as unfair/extreme when its simply untrue. FWIW i think Brian does as good a job as he's aloud to do , the problem is the role itself, for £1m the role should be allowed a lot more power than it currently recieves and is about as far removed from the other directors postions as possible .. its a director in name only with no power at all, out of interest when compared to the £1m+ the share scheme provided and the millions fans themselves put in day in day out., whats the input of the directors themselves (dont get me wrong im grateful to all that invest to keep us going) im just wondering how many shares the others have for how much cash they have put in to get on to the board of directors? when compared to the Fans Directors £1m +

Good post Lockleazer, Sadly for you, you can't force people to be miserable. The two forums both have very solid well informed posters , they both have passionate Gasheads , they both have a few nutters , in my opinion only one has a good sense of humour, you have to be able to laugh at the situation and yourself otherwise you end up very bitter and twisted. IMO.

I post on both forums and have my ups and downs with Rovers, Football and life in general. . Im an opinionated chap but kbow im probably wrong more than im right but I try to live and learn but im always respectful of others views

It's like reading a 1970's union leader in action, very dated ! I use this forum more then the other one so that says a lot about what i really think. I dont like the criticism of the i.f posters and the generalisations about them. I would stick up for people i know on here in the same way if it happened in the other place. Ps im a crap fan compared to many on here but then again i have not implied anything about myself and you clearly have me wrong.
